An exhilarating and thrilling trek leads adventurers to the stunning Cala Mariolu, a gem of the Gulf of Orosei, located on Sardinia’s central-eastern coast. Nestled between Punta Mudaloro and Punta Ispuligi, Cala Mariolu captivates visitors with its pristine white beach and vibrant sea hues. The beach is embraced by the rugged Ogliastra coastline, which towers up to 500 meters above the crystal-clear waters. This earthly paradise is accessible by land only via a challenging trekking path through dense Mediterranean scrub, where trekkers traverse white limestone, rocks, and steep trails, encountering intriguing natural sculptures like the Su Tasaru arch. However, the effort and adventurous spirit are richly rewarded by untouched nature, breathtaking views, and a refreshing dip in the dreamlike waters.
- Important: this is a very demanding hike, it is recommended for people in good physical and mental health, accustomed to mountain trails with important differences in altitude both uphill and downhill and paths on rocks
