• Ramayana Cave - With its hallucinogenic depictions of the Indian epic “Ramayana,” no cave in Batu is more lavishly decorated than Ramayana Cave. To enter, walk past the 15-meter-tall, green statue of Hanuman and cross the bridge. The enormous statue of Kumbhakarna, the brother of Ravana, who is known for being deeply asleep (observe the attempts to revive him with arrows and cymbals) is unmistakable within. Ascend the stairs to a shrine adorned with a naturally occurring lingam, a Shiva-symbolizing stalagmite.

Compared to the busier Temple Cave, Ramayana Cave is more serene; wander through the exquisitely painted and brightly lighted dioramas.
