Richmond - Continue to the historic township of Richmond, rich in convict history and featuring magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Here, you can admire Australia’s oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond also boasts numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for a lunch break. Additionally, a visit to the Drink Tasmania Tasting House is highly recommended, where you can enjoy tastings of the region’s finest wines, whisky, and local produce.

Mavista Picnic Area & Walking Track - Step into this temperate rainforest and breathe in the clean, crisp air while soaking in nature’s vibes. This 20-minute return walk offers a glimpse of the many environments on this magnificent Island.
Bruny Island Chocolate Company - A great stop to stock up on sweets for the day ahead.
Alonnah - Alonnah, home to the Hotel Bruny pub, is where we will stop for lunch.
Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tours - Spend 30 minutes exploring picturesque Cape Bruny with the second oldest original tower in Australia.
Bruny Island Honey - Take some time to visit The Honey Pot, where you can sample beautiful honey or learn about the 1000 hives on the island!
Port Arthur and Tasman Sights
Eaglehawk Neck - On the way to Port Arthur, stop at Eaglehawk Neck’s Pirates Bay lookout and the Dog Line monument to enjoy the scenery and capture a photo or two!
Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry - This next stop will delight those with a sweet tooth as we visit the Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry, a charming local business offering plenty of sweet treats.
Port Arthur Lavender - After the chocolate factory, visit the beautiful Port Arthur Lavender Farm. Explore the unique handmade products made from Tasmanian Lavender and take a stroll around the scenic lavender trail (seasonal).
Port Arthur Historic Site - Next is the Port Arthur Historic Site. Immerse yourself in the fascinating, rich, and dark history of the best-preserved penal settlement in Australia. Admission includes a self-guided audio experience and a 25-minute harbour cruise. If history is your interest, enjoy the full 4 hours exploring the historic site. If you’re up for one more experience, hop back on the bus after 3 hours for a trip to the Remarkable Cave.
Remarkable Cave - Just an 8-minute drive away, you’ll be greeted with the spectacular vista of Maingon Bay. At the lookout, take in the exceptional views of Penguin Rocks and the bay. Descend the 115 steps to view the Remarkable Cave from a platform surrounded by ancient sandstone cliffs. We’ll then return to the historic site to pick up the remaining passengers and head back to Hobart at 5:30 pm.
Hastings Cave, Tahune Airwalk and the Huon Tasting Trail
Huonville - The first stop is Huonville, where you can grab a takeaway coffee and stock up on essentials for the day. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive along the beautiful Huon River. As you sip your coffee, you’ll hear stories about why this area is famous for its apple orchards, craft cider makers, boutique winemakers, and salmon production.
