just the right level of challenging - just the right level of challenging - like any good escape room should be - though with the attentive, requisite assistance (clue) should it be required! Very friendly, a fun activity while exploring Bath.

Equal parts interesting, informative, creepy and scary! Thoroughly enjoyed! - Me & my wife visited the House of Frankenstein Museum yesterday and had a great time. We spent a couple of hours there and read almost all of the information panels. This is rare for us but the panels were well written, concise and informative. There were lots of interesting exhibits and the full size Frankenstein animatronic was very impressive. The ticket price was reasonable and the creepy atmosphere was perfectly pitched. The staff were also very good, especially the lady who scared the life out of us in the basement. Highly recommended all round.

Fun and immersive - Myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed this museum! We didn't expect it to offer to much and to be so immersive. There was lots of information to consume and we also enjoyed the QR-code game as we explored. I definitely would recommend visiting as a fun day activity.

A must visit for Shelley fans - Had so much fun here as a massive fan of Mary Shelley’s books. Reading all the information on the walls in the museum was a bit of a tight squeeze as we visited at peak times but the experience was still fantastic :) I didn’t actually expect to get scared in the basement but I did lol! Definitely try it out if you want a good laugh (after getting jumpscared and screaming by running into someone in the basement)

Great escape room experience - We did the escape room upstairs and then looked around the museum. It was a Christmas present for my parents and we had a wonderful time. The staff were fab and we really enjoyed the escape room. We brought our 7 month old son with us so we decided not to do the basement one as apparently it is a bit scarier but would like to do it one day!

Totally enjoyed the experience - Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here with my grandson. Well thought out and informative as well as a little bit scary. Very well worth a visit to the museum & then one of the escape rooms. We very nearly made it out !!

A Labor of Love -- Fun and Smart - A comprehensive look at Mary Shelley and her accomplished yet tragedy-stricken life. Includes info on her complicated and controversial friends and family, many of whom were famous (or infamous) themselves. We were there longer than the average time because every room offered another approach to Shelley's life and, later on, explorations of the international impact of her story of the Creature and its Creator: movie posters, film clips, a room of Creature-related toys and games, and more. The people behind the museum have a great vision!

Interesting Idea but Not Much to See – Very Quick Visit - Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein has an interesting concept, but it doesn’t really function as a museum. There isn’t much to actually look at in terms of exhibits or artefacts. Most of the experience involves walking through themed rooms and reading information about Mary Shelley’s life and the creation of Frankenstein. It feels more like a self‑guided walkthrough than a museum with things to explore. There is an escape room and an interactive “jump scare” cellar experience, but I didn’t do either as I’m claustrophobic. Without those add‑ons, the main attraction is very short. I spent less than an hour inside, and that was taking my time. Some of the rooms are atmospheric and nicely themed, but the overall layout can feel a bit cramped and slightly confusing. It would benefit from clearer direction and more substance to make the visit feel more complete. Overall, it’s an unusual attraction with a creative idea behind it, but it needs more depth and more to actually see. As it stands, it feels limited for the price and is a very quick visit unless you book the extra experiences.

Fun and interesting - The museum is really interesting and presents details of Mary Shelley and her famous ‘Frankenstein’ in a fun way. The escape game way challenging and a good way to spend time together.
