Upon reaching the edges of The Empty Quarter, the operator traverses the untouched desert landscape that has remained unchanged for centuries. The journey leads to a remote campsite nestled among the rolling sand dunes. The desert’s silence is occasionally interrupted by the crackling of coals, as the delightful aroma of fresh barbecue fills the air. Engage in lively conversations while enjoying a feast of Arabic bread, salads, and tender meats. Following the meal, attend a brief session on Arabian wildlife, the geography of the Rub Al Khali, and discuss plans for an exciting day ahead. The leisurely pace allows ample time for photography and sandboarding. After packing up the camp, explore the nearby Liwa dunes, hoping for a chance encounter with wildlife. Then, drive to the nearest town, Madinat Zayed, to stroll through the date plantations. Sample dates and fruits at the local markets before returning with a wealth of memories.
- Pickup will be in a 4x4 Land Cruiser on sharing basis with up to 6 people per land Cruiser from different hotels.
- There is no toilet facilities inside the desert – this is out in the open. There is no campsite !!
- We shall provide sleeping bags, mattress and igloo tents (2 persons per tent).The guests will have to bring their toiletries and some woolen cloths, which can fit in a small carry bag.

- “Guests visiting the UAE during the Summer months (June – September) are advised that peak daytime temperatures sometimes reach 42 – 45 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels can also exceed 90 percent during this period. We recommend all our guests to take adequate precaution, especially during off-road tours”
- Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised. Hats are advisable when in direct sunlight.
- The Dubai desert can get cooler in the evenings during winter, so we recommend you bring a light jacket and closed shoes. Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.
