Great company in St Kitts - Our cruise line was unable to dock in St Kitts this morning due to high winds.. the company refunded us in full even though I missed the excursion. A fantastic gesture of goodwill. Please use this company-agent when travelling to St Kitts..

Wonderful and educational about this beautiful country and people of Saint Kitts (officially Saint Christopher) - LOVED IT!! Bus portion was very informative with our host Shaun. He taught me things I should have known as an American. Got me interested in the island's history quite a bit more. Research will be done. The train cars were non-stop rocking back & forth yet it added to the fun!!! Train doesn't move fast and the ride is not rough in the normal sense of the word. The Hostess was VERRRY informative as we passed historical sites. Their are two hostesses per car and they are the most physically well-balanced people I have ever seen. Mixing & serving drinks with nary an error that I noticed. There are restrooms facilities on the train so relax there! Very nice way to pass some time and learn a little about this beautiful Country, a little of it's history and enjoy stunning scenery all the while. THANK YOU SHAUN, hostesses of Train Car four and the guide!!! Very fun and memorable. Marilynn (NE Oklahoma, USA)

Train that rocks and rolls - The two hour train ride has beautiful scenery of the coastline, very sweet rum cocktails and a very bumpy and rocky ride.

So so! - The train car we were in was extremely cold! They had the air conditioner cranked way up. We were not able to enjoy the ride because of it. If you go take a heavy sweater.

Rock and Roll Scenic Tour - 2 things kept this tour via a suger cane train from being a 5. The first is that the train cars rocked back and forth the entire 18 miles (in all fairness the bridges were quite smooth). The second was that unless you wanted to sit shoulder to shoulder on the second level you sat in the enclosed car level where many of the views were obscured by dirt walls and/or tall grass. That said, the views that you could see were beautiful as we rolled along the shoreline past old plantations and through the small towns. Tour staff were friendly and you could drink your weight in free Daiquiris and Pina Coladas. If you have never done the scenic railway tour, you should at least once.

Train going nowhere fast - First off, the seating arrangement is bench style facing sideways, not forward. Bad news is that during the entire ride, each train car rocks left and right rather violently; especially the 2nd to last car. If you go, you'll want to sit on the right side bench as you look toward the engine. This gives you views of the ocean versus the left side bench which gives you views of tall grasses and hillside. They train is packed to the hilt with passengers and you can't move once your are seated...shoulder to shoulder. It becomes a contest to see which tourist is going to hurl once the rum gets served with all the swaying motion. During the ride 2 "dancers" come through each car and do hip hop dancing to the music on a portable boom box. Watch your feet during the dance, as they get stepped on because of the rocking motion of the car.

I'm interesting train ride. - First we stood for 20 minutes in blazing sun waiting for the driver to show up late. No place to sit, no shade! The train ride was uninteresting. Alcoholic drinks however we're good. Not worth the money spent.

TOURIST-TRAP-A-GO-GO TO THE 10TH POWER (or Just Say No) - The narrator on the train NEVER STOPPED TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING TALKING. We did not get even 5 minutes of quiet time to enjoy the island scenery in silence! She was so in love with the sound of her own voice that she would repeat her talking points time and again. And again. This was one of the most oppressive touring experiences of my life, with no chance of escape. It was not even remotely worth the cost because I would have paid to NOT go on this hot, loud, incessant-chatter, cheap-drink train. This is the very definition of tourist trap. We were TRAPPED with no way out, screaming inside our heads until the damn thing was finally over. Save your sanity. Just say NO to torture. And avoid this tourist trap like a contagious disease.

Waste of time and money - Would not recommend at all. The train is in poor condition along with the track. The 3 bridges have no guard rails. The exhaust gave us all headaches. It goes through some of the poorest sides of St. Kitts. Nothing to see at all.
