• Berkeley Memorial - Situated in the town center, this drinking fountain was imported from Scotland in 1883 and remains functional to this day.
• Independence Square - A historic site that is a must-visit for all tourists. We also recommend trying some local cuisine if interested.
• His Majesty’s Prison (Basseterre) - Built in 1840 for 82 inmates, this prison in Saint Kitts now holds around 320 inmates, including pretrial detainees mixed with convicted prisoners. Most have beds, though some sleep on blankets on the floor.
• St. George’s Anglican Church - The largest church in Basseterre, located at the head of Church Street. It resembles an English parish church with heavy andesite rock walls and a slate roof. The church has a history of rising from adversity, much like the mythical Phoenix.
• Government Headquarters - Located on Church Street, this site once housed the Newstead and Waterloo buildings and some smaller residences. In the late 19th century, the lower western corner of Church and Central Street was dominated by the Newstead Hotel.
• Joseph N France General Hospital - The main and largest hospital on the island.
• Carib Brewery - The only brewery in St. Kitts, where the local beer is produced.
• Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine - The largest university on the island, offering American and Canadian veterinary programs.
• Bloody Point - The site where over 2,000 Kalinago people were massacred by European colonists.
• Old Road Town - Home to Kalinago rock drawings dating back to 2500 BC.
• Wingfield Estate Sugar Plantation Ruins - A water-powered sugar plantation.
• Old Road Rum Co at Wingfield Estate Sugar Plantation Ruins - An old rum distillery uncovered after being hidden for hundreds of years. Visitors can try the fastest-selling local rum.
• Wingfield-Phillips Rain Forest Nature Trail - A trail where you can experience the rainforest and hear birds chirping.
• Sir Thomas Warner Gravestone - The tomb of Captain Sir Thomas Warner, who died on March 10, 1649, in St. Kitts. The tomb of Samuel Jefferson, the great-great-grandfather of U.S. President Thomas Jefferson, was also originally located here.
• Boat Yard - The island’s only boat yard, featuring a shipwreck still in the ocean.
• Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park - A comprehensive site to explore.
• Sandy Point Town - Home to the island’s oldest Catholic church, where John Newton, the author of “Amazing Grace,” was ordained by three Catholic ministers.
• Dieppe Bay Town - A place where the Atlantic and Caribbean seas meet, offering a side-by-side comparison before reaching Timothy Hill.
• Black Rocks - A stunning site with volcanic rocks in the ocean, offering breathtaking views and visibility of five neighboring islands.
• Mount Liamuiga - The island’s highest peak and a former refuge for runaway slaves. It is also a volcano and resembles a detailed woman.

• Kim Collins Highway - Named after Kim Collins, who won the 100m dash at the 2003 World Championships, making him the world’s fastest man that year.
• Eastern Caribbean Central Bank - The central bank serving multiple members of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), issuing the Eastern Caribbean Dollar.
