Great, informative walking tour of beautiful Basel - This was an excellent walking tour of Basel. Gina, our guide, was terrific. She was very knowledgeable and overall a wonderful guide. The tour took us through the farmers market, which was right across from the historic and architecturally beautiful Basel city hall, then into the old city part of Basel. Gina pointed out and explained lots of beautiful details on the buildings, many of which are centuries old. We ended with a delicious cheese and chocolate tasting. Once again, Gina showed her expertise on both. It was a leisurely walk and not very strenuous. Overall it was terrific, definitely 10/10. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour - Great combination of Basel history, then on to tastings of pastry, cheeses, and chocolates. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Her enthusiasm about every aspect of the tour was contagious. We had a wonderful time!

Ok with hiccups - Good tour but guide was late as she had overlapping tours. We almost left. The farmers market was disappointing as we looked at it from across the street and didn't get to see the vendors or produce. Not much of a market tour when that was the main item.

Extremely disappointed - Disappointed with the entire experience. We stopped at one pastry were given a pastry to go. We did not realize we would be going to a cheese and chocolate that gave tiny portions. Not worth the cost. Seemed like it was more about small tastes so we would buy more from the guide.

Abandoned by the guide. - Your started out well through the first food tasting at the bakery but went downhill from there. The guide was on her phone quite a bit after that. Took the trolley to a cheese tasting room across town, then another trolley to a chocolate tasting. The chocolate tasting location seemed surprised we were there. The guide left before the tasting started disappeared. We had to navigate ourselves back to where the tour began.

Do NOT book - Do NOT book this tour. My ticket gave conflicting meeting point addresses. We messaged our tour guide 45 minutes before the tour asking fir meeting place confirmation. They didn't respond, I tred to call twice without answer. After chatting with Viator they contacted the your guide 20 minutes into the tour. We paid over $200 USD to spend nearly 2 hours trying to join this tour. I requested a refund it was denied. I've visited many countries and booked many tours as this without issue. I would like my money refunded.

Not Worth It! - My wife and I had a very bad experience with this tour guide comparing with the Italy Naples food tour which we enjoyed so much a few years ago. First of all, the instruction and direction to the meeting place was not clear. The Google map link provided was different from the meeting place description. Secondly, the tour guide did not have a sign "Viator" or something, so we had no way to identify her is the tour guide. Thirdly, she only took us to one pastry shop, then she walked our group away from the marketplace and took us to her cheese and chocolate shop. She gave us samples to try and kept asking us to buy some, which I think is conflict of interest. Finally, according to the description of this tour, she supposed to take us back and dismissed us at the same pickup place, but she did not. She just let us leave her shop and provided direction. Very very bad experience!

They Ghosted Us - I'd have love to have rated this tour, but it never happened and I'm not sure why. I thought we were all set to go, and we'd arranged our entire day around this tour which was supposed to happen at 12:45. However, around 11 am I received an email stating that the tour was supposed to start at 10 and asking where we were. I immediately replied that our tour was scheduled to start at 12:45 and sent a screenshot of our ticket as proof. I didn't hear back, so we arrived at the meeting place at 12:30....and waited and waited. No one showed. I sent a text and an email asking what was going on. Finally, I got a response at maybe 1:30 (by which time we were already back at our hotel) asking if we could go back to the meeting place and do the tour then. By this time we'd already explored the area that we were going to be touring, sampled cheese and chocolate, and were pretty tired from jetlag. We declined to go. He offered us the tour the next day, but we were getting on a cruise ship then and didn't have the time or inclination to try it again. After some back and forth, we were finally refunded the cost of the tour, but to say we were disappointed is putting it mildly. Communication is obviously not their strong suit.

Not what I had expected. ... - Not what I had expected. Meeting time amongst the three couples were different and meeting location were different. Tour guide was not easily spotted as she did not carry any flags or tour guide clothing to make her stand out. Had expected to visit more than one pastry, cheese, and chocolate shops. We got one pastry each and each couple shared a small bag of bakery good. We went to the tour guide’s business to sample cheese and chocolate. This is just not what I had envision of a food tour.
