• Basel - The guide and driver will warmly welcome guests at their hotel or residence, before transporting them to Mt. Pilatus in a comfortable van.
• Pilatus Luzern - Upon arrival in Lucerne, the driver will accompany guests to the Pilatus Bahn to commence the ascent to Mt. Pilatus. A brief stop at Fraukmuntegg allows for admiration of the Swiss Alps’ beginnings and the cantons that established the Swiss Confederation in 1291. Guests will then board the renowned “dragon ride” aerial cable car, enjoying a journey in a spacious glass cabin. The panoramic windows offer 360-degree views of the Lucerne region, often likened to the sensation of flying. Revel in the dynamic views of the Alpine landscape as historic Lucerne comes back into view nearing the journey’s end. This ride is a must-see on any visit to Mt. Pilatus.
• Pilatus Luzern - Following this, guests can continue to enjoy the breathtaking valley views from the restaurant or embark on a leisurely hike to the summit of Mt. Pilatus. The peak provides a spectacular bird’s eye view of historic Lucerne and sweeping vistas of the surrounding countryside. Breathe in the fresh mountain air from the viewing platform while taking in the expanse of pristine lakes, verdant meadows, and undulating peaks and valleys. • Pilatus Luzern - The descent begins on the world’s steepest cogwheel railway, heading towards Alpnachstad. Guests will take the cogwheel train, where the engine climbs the foothills of Pilatus, leading to the end of the steepest rack railway globally. Marvel at the Alpine views from 2,073 meters high as the guide shares insights into the area’s history, culture, and culinary specialties.
• Lake Lucerne - Enjoy the beauty of Lake Lucerne, also known as the lake of four cantons, and admire the Bürgenstock, Rigi Mountain, and Pilatus Mountain from a distance while cruising along the crystal-clear lake. From May to October, there is an option to take a boat from Lucerne to Alpnachstad instead.
