• Explore Catalunya - 8:15 am - Begin the day at the main office, conveniently located next to the renowned Palau de la Musica. Meet the guide, take a restroom break, and perhaps enjoy a quick coffee before the tour commences. The guide will provide an overview of the day’s itinerary and what to anticipate as you prepare to depart.
• Eixample - 8:30 am - Depart Barcelona through the Eixample district. As the journey begins, the guide will share a brief history of Barcelona, allowing you to relax during the 60-minute drive to Vic.
• Montseny - 9:00 am - Travel north from Barcelona, swiftly leaving behind the vibrant Mediterranean city. As the route ascends the Pyrenees, pass by Montseny, a 30,000-hectare natural park recognized as a UNESCO world biosphere reserve in 1978. This area remains a sanctuary for wildlife such as wild boars, badgers, hares, foxes, red squirrels, eagles, and red partridges, thriving in beech, pine, and oak forests.
• Vic - 9:30 am - The first stop on this small group tour is the historic market town of Vic. Explore this medieval town with a guide, visiting the cathedral with its diverse architectural styles from Romanesque to neoclassical, the town’s impressive renaissance and baroque buildings, and the ancient Roman Temple, discreetly nestled among the old quarter’s buildings. Afterwards, enjoy ample free time to savor a coffee or breakfast in the town’s charming arched square, where the market and major events are still held.
• Queralbs - 12:30 pm - Following Vic, proceed to the stone-built mountain village of Queralbs, the last accessible point by road. Leave the minivan and, with the guide, take the rack railway to the Nuria Valley. This picturesque valley, featuring a lake and lush green pastures surrounded by high peaks, is one of the Pyrenees’ most stunning locations. Appreciate the scenery from the train and, upon arrival, spend several hours exploring at your leisure. Choose from hiking trails suitable for various fitness levels. While excellent physical fitness is not mandatory for this tour, a reasonable level is recommended. Alternatively, select from local activities (at your own expense) such as horse riding or boating, or enjoy a meal (at your own expense) at one of the traditional Catalan restaurants. Refer to the itinerary for available activities. When it’s time, return to Barcelona, concluding the trip at the starting point.
• Vall de Nuria - 12:50 pm - The Nuria Valley (Vale de Nuria) features a stunning lake and vibrant green pastures encircled by high peaks. This idyllic valley is among the Pyrenees’ most beautiful spots. Enjoy the scenery from the train and, upon arrival, spend several hours exploring as desired. Consider following hiking trails suitable for different fitness levels, such as the paths leading to the Valley Coma de Vaca. While excellent physical fitness is not required for this tour, a reasonable level is necessary for the Coma de Vaca trails. Alternatively, choose from local activities (at your own expense) like horse riding or boating, or savor a meal (at your own expense) at one of the traditional Catalan restaurants.
• Queralbs - 4:00 pm - This quaint mountain village has a population of only 200 permanent residents living in a charming collection of traditionally built stone houses. Nestled on the mountainside, this picturesque hamlet is one of the day’s most memorable highlights. Here, you can also visit the Church of Sant Sadurní de Fustanyá, constructed from stones so perfectly hewn that legend attributes its creation to the fairies and witches believed to inhabit the nearby caves. After about an hour, return to the bus to begin the journey back to Barcelona.
• Plaza de Catalunya - 7:00 pm - Arrive back in Barcelona in time for dinner. The guide will gladly assist with directions to the nearest metro or taxi options. If staying in town, the guide will offer restaurant recommendations.

Alternatives will range from going by road up into the beautiful mountain valleys or low level mountain walks, and the views will be just as stunning!
