• Montserrat Mountains - On the second leg of our day trip, we’ll stop at the cable car station in Montserrat Mountains. This cable car provides an alternative route to the Monastery, allowing you to cross the Llobregat river and ascend to nearly 4000 feet. Dating back to 1930, this cable car operates with just two cabins, reaching a speed of 5 meters per second.

During your free time, you can experience the Cable Car ride, which offers a spectacular view of Montserrat and the Monastery Area (please note that the Cable Car ticket is not included).

• Abadia de Montserrat - Our third stop brings us to the Abadia de Montserrat by car. Here, a private guided walking tour awaits, immersing you in Montserrat’s history and rich religious heritage.

Explore the Abadia de Montserrat and its surroundings, including discussions about routes within Montserrat and other pilgrimage sites. Next, we’ll visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, where you can view the unique Black Madonna statue from inside the basilica (no Throne visit).

• Escolania de Montserrat - At our fourth stop, we’ll be treated to a Choir performance at the Santa Maria Basilica of Montserrat. This experience is the highlight of our day trip, as you’ll have the opportunity to witness the renowned Boys Choir Performance, considered one of the most famous in Europe.

To ensure a seamless and guaranteed spot in the Choir performance on their singing days, advance booking is included as part of this tour. This allows you to skip the lines and fully enjoy this exceptional musical performance.

Please note that the Boys’ Choir performs on Sundays during mass, but not on Saturdays. Additionally, there are no choir performances during summer holidays, certain afternoons, and over Christmas holidays.

Through this One Day Excursion from Barcelona ( Montserrat Tour ), We’ll travel through the picturesque terrains of Catalonia to the Montserrat Mountain.

To begin with, We’ll traverse the natural park of Montserrat Mountain, admire breathtaking scenery and offer brief comments about the region.

Moving forward in this Barcelona-Montserrat journey, we’ll navigate through Montserrat Mountain to reach the Monastery and discover one of Spain’s most significant sacred places. Discussing about various paths in Montserrat and other places of pilgrimage.

We’ll stop by a local farmer’s market, taste their cheeses and we’re also permitted to sample a Montserrat liqueurs based on the Monks’ recipe.

Ultimately, we’ll step into the Monastery Area, watch the Montserrat Boy Choir Performance, and meet the renowned Black Madonna of Montserrat.

• According to the schedule on the Montserrat website, the choir does not perform on Saturdays. However, on Sundays, you have the opportunity to witness their enchanting performance (or an adults choir) during Mass. Please note that there are no choir performances during the summer holidays, certain afternoons, and over the Christmas holidays.
