A great way to see Barcelona - Great staff and a great experience overall the gps guide was a great story teller and quite funny at times. A bit expensive but make sure you go on a sunny day

Go Cars for the win - Excellent way to spend the day. Miriam was so kind and professional, she set us up, got us on our way, and made sure we had all information necessary to keep it stress free. Loved seeing all the sites, one small area was not marked construction so we had to back up and go the wrong way down a one way (3 other local vehicles were in the same boat) All in all I highly recommend this excursion.

Throughly enjoyed this.... - Throughly enjoyed this. Could be a a little bit difficult if you went off the route however this was a minor issue. Car easy to drive. Would highly recommend. Great fun

Innovative idea , fast and convenient - Crazy experience .the staff is super helpful and prepared. A real experience to live a complete and free tour in the heart of Barcelona. Advice to everyone. It's really worth it! You don't get lost, you don't get tired, you can make stops in the places you prefer. You will not be disappointed. Trying to believe!

Love this experience!!! - This was probably my favorite thing that we did in Barcelona. A great way to see the city. Highly recommend. Everyone at GoCars was so helpful especially since my son who’s 6’8” didn’t fit in the new cars. They pulled out an older model and off we went.

Novel idea that didn’t quite live up to expectations - A unique experience and a novel idea but there is definitely things you need to be aware of and some room for some improvement. 1) Toilet facilities - ours was a 3 hour tour but no toilet facilities at the GoCar depot for clients before leaving or returning. We were told to go to one of the nearby bars/cafes and buy a coffee/drink and we could then use their toilets. 2) The guidance system gave you very little warning to change lanes (remember you are driving on the usual roads of a city of close to 2 million people) or turn corners at some points. At other times there was a good amount of warning. 3) We were told that some of our mapped route may not be possible due to the La Merce festival currently on and subsequent road closures and we would have to navigate around that ourselves!! The reason given for not changing the programmed route in the cars was that they had only found out about the road closures on the 27th Sept, therefore no time to re-program the routes on the cars, yet the GoCars website itself noted that there would be traffic disruptions from 22-28th September?? 3) A lot of traffic and stoppage time at red lights throughout the city meant that we couldn’t complete the tour in our allotted 3 hours (and this is without any stops to view points of interest on the tour) - ? an option to make the tour slightly shorter or allow more time in the weekends 4) The cars do take a bit of time to get used to wrt how they drive and the lag time between engaging the throttle and the car beginning to move (this is explained at the briefing) 5) If you do ‘stray’ of course then the map gives no indication of how to ‘get back on course’ (this is also explained at the briefing) but in reality a second person in the car (navigator) is essential. 6) You might not see as much as you would like (especially for those of us who usually drive on the LHS of the road) as you are constantly having to ‘watch where you are going’, watch the traffic and pedestrians rather than being able to look at the city’s wonderful sights.

We had thought we would... - We had thought we would be in a group but this is just a solo exploring type of excursion. Driving the go cart isn’t easy at first but you get the hang of it after a bit. If you’re a skittish driver this likely isn’t for you. Also the go-cart is small so taller people might be somewhat uncomfortable. Overall we liked it and saw a ton in a short amount of time. Get out an explore for breaks along the way.

Stressful not fun - We have thoroughly enjoyed Go Cars in other cities, but our Barcelona experience was frustrating and disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we felt very rushed and not welcomed. When we asked if there were restrooms we could use or any water that was available they seemed annoyed and neither were available. The young woman who gave us the overview of the car was very pleasant and thorough. Although she did not let us know how to find the navigation to return back to the shop if we needed to at any point. The car was smaller in the seating area than we are used to with go cars, and the driver was very crammed in, and the glare of the sun made it virtually impossible to see the screen. When we told them this upon returning, they said we should had polarized glasses. Also, the route does not reroute if you get off course and driving in Barcelona is not an easy task normally and there is construction/road closed. The most disappointing part was that the traffic is so thick and rushed that the driver is really unable to relax to take in any of the sites. Additionally parking is hard to find so we couldn’t really stop along the route. Finally, we were nervous because the US does not have a driving agreement with Spain, and so we were basically driving as unlicensed drivers – we signed a waiver regarding this, but they could not give us an answer as to how much the fine would be if we were stopped. Be aware, there is a delay in the acceleration of the vehicle, which is frustrating to the drivers around you when you are trying to proceed when the light turns green. If you are comfortable in heavy city traffic, stopping at every light with the sun beating down on you and not being able to really enjoy the sites, you could possibly enjoy this. The best part was when pedestrians think you look cute in the tiny car.
