Constructed from 1883 to 1885 at the behest of Don Manuel Vicens, Casa Vicens is a precursor to Modernist architecture, foreshadowing Gaudi’s subsequent projects and exemplifying the artistic transformation that permeated Europe in the late nineteenth century.
