- Mosaicos Barcelona MOSAICCOS (Trencadís) - This mosaic workshop is designed for families with children. It offers a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together while learning to create art using the renowned “trencadís” mosaic technique of Antoni Gaudí. Participants can choose from a variety of objects, such as fish, cat, heart, butterfly, picture frame, and more. Children over 10 years old will work with ceramic tiles, while those under 10 will use pre-cut acrylic mosaic tiles.
⚠️ After the workshop, the staff will grout your artwork, which can be collected either later that afternoon or the following day.

The motivation behind this initiative was to provide engaging activities for families, which were previously hard to find for children. This led to the creation of a fun and creative experience for families with children over 3 years old, where they can enjoy making mosaic artworks together using Gaudí’s mosaic technique, “trencadís.” Participants will learn how to use the tools, select their base and colors, and create their first mosaic artwork. They can choose from various objects to create, such as photo frames, boxes, and animals. This activity is a memorable experience for families, ensuring children will always remember who Gaudí was! It is designed for a family of 2 adults and 2 children.

In 2016, recognition for excellence was received with a master craftsman diploma for outstanding achievements in the work and promotion of the Art “Trencadís,” awarded by the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya. In 2019, there was a collaboration with Casa Batlló as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers project “The Restoration of Casa Batlló, from inside to beyond its walls.”
