Nice walk with panoramic views of Barcelona! - Accessible via the funicular: if you take the metro, no additional ticket is needed because at Paral-Lel station there is direct access to the funicular from the metro. It is very nice to take height and admire the city of Barcelona with a beautiful panorama! You can already see beautiful landscapes from Mt. To visit the Castle you have to pay an entrance fee in addition to the cable car.

Beautiful Barcelona view from cable car with a caring and capable guide. - Had initial issues. Guide was late by 10 minutes ( reason Barcelona Marathon). Shocking was viator had booked in other name instead of my name. But guide did a great job to sort it out and handled it admirably well. Guide was excellent for the day ( forgot her name). Very knowledgable explanation was excellent and the way she organised the whole trip was just adorable. Great trip, viewing the massive city from the cable car, visiting the Castle and the Gothic quarters. Overall great place and view. Loved it

To do of course .... - We took the cable car to Montjuïc Castle , on the hill overlooking the city. Beautiful medieval castle (we did not visit the interior, because not much to see for us ) but the view is beautiful, you can walk all around the castle and see the view of the huge cargo port of Barcelona.

Loved Montjuic but underwhelming tour - save your money and find an alternative - We had a very busy itinerary for our week stay in Barcelona and we didn’t want to skip Montjuic. We learned a great deal from our tour guide and how it has impacted Barcelona over the years. The cable cart was fun and the views were great too. Our time at Montjuic felt very rushed as we would have wanted to stay a bit longer and read more of the information the various rooms. Some of the information our tour guide provided was not quite right as we learned later on and for a 3 hour tour we felt that paying $800 was WAY over priced. Compared to some of the other tour we had had in Barcelona (Park Guell, Life of Gaudi, Montserrat and the Gothic Quarter) this tour should not have been more than $400 AUD (max!!). Luckily after the tour we found the Olympic museum and stadium which entertained us (for €6 each). Whilst we loved Montjuic, I would question whether you want to spend this amount of money on a 3 hour tour which is quite rushed and doesn’t include much at all.

Gain height - Small nice side to see Barcelona in height you have the possibility to go down in a large park where you dominate all Barcelona and then to access the castle which pays attention on the other hand you can go around it count a good hour it is incredibly large very beautiful view from above on the port the airport and all Barcelona remember to book your tickets well in advance because there are many people

Good views - We did this on a clear sunny day and were able to have great views over Barcelona. We could clearly see Sagrada Familia and the other tall buildings and layout of the city. We joined the queue at the bottom of the ramp but the queue moved really fast. We had pre bought tickets online but there was not a separate queue for this, everyone queued together. The cable cars were clean, spacious and had top opening windows that gave a bit of a breeze. At the top there wear lovely views towards the port and beach areas. We could see lots of cruise ships docked. The only disappointment was that there was no cafe or toilet facilities anywhere. Nowhere to buy a drink or ice cream We didn’t pay extra to go into the castle which was an extra €12 each so unsure what is available there. There was only a vending machine for drinks in the queuing area. We bought the round trip but you can walk both up and down to the castle. There is a garden area all the way up to the top with good paths.

Fantastic views of the city - You can have a one way trip and walk down the mountain or have a round trip. There is a stop half way and a castle at the top where there are fantastic views of the city and the sea. It’s an extra charge at the top to enter the castle, but there is no need as the views are 360. I recommend you get a prepaid ticket via the internet as is cheaper than the gate price.

Disappointed - We found that it is very expensive for a short tour of 15mn 😡 if visiting the castle, we must add just as much, it is really the tourist trap
