Don't miss it! experience to do.. - Pick up at 4 a.m. in front of our hotel. 4x4 ride to the volcano. Clear sky. magnificent view of the two oceans and the mountains. Breakfast after the visit with fruit, hot chocolate, marshmallows, very nice. the view is magnificent. It was, however, very cold. Fortunately, the guide John (very friendly) lent us warm clothes. Experience to do and not requiring iron health. Avoid if you have lung problems, because we have 25% less oxygen at an altitude of 3500 m.

Amazing!!! - The trip was amazing! The ride up to the volcano is a little shaky as it is not a paved path but nothing dramatic! Our tour guide was superr nice and told us so many facts about the nature and the volcano. Our group was superr nice friendly. Totally loved the trip! The summit is very misty and cold so make sure to bring warm clothes.

Unforgettable Experience - A truly extraordinary experience. Don’t let the early start time deter you. It is worth it. Melissa was our group’s guide and 4x4 driver. She handled the rocky ascent like a true professional. I felt safe with her at the wheel. Pros - Tour operators were professional great communicators and looked out for our safety - Tour starts on time & made it to the summit just as the sun was peaking over the horizon - Views from above the lower cloud layer were amazing - Breakfast at the summit was delicious- not too heavy- just right Cons - May not see the ocean and the sea, but I forgot all about that when I saw the views - It’s cold at the top. It was 43F degrees in Panama. Bring the hat, scarf, gloves and winter jacket. You will need it! Book your tour NOW!

Exciting, enjoyable, beautiful! - Muddy roads made for an exciting 4x4 ride to the top, with 2 of the 5 vehicles requiring winch pulls to get through the worst spots. Then, because of the delays from that, the drivers hurried to get us to the top right before sunrise. We were lucky and had one of the few days where you could see both the Pacific and Caribbean from the top. Excellent! Then on the way down, alert guides spotted a rare quetzal and all were able to get out for photos and viewing. All in all, and exciting and enjoyable trip!

John - Best Driver:) - Communication before the tour was already flawless Our driver John took us to the top. In between we helped another vehicle. He served a great breakfast and gave us some info. We definitely had the best driver. You always had the feeling he had everything under control

Great experience-thank you! - We were picked up at 4am to take the bumpy ride to the top of the volcano. Our driver, Jorge, navigated the way with ease. Once we got there, there is a bathroom and we walked another 15 minutes to the very top. DRESS WARM! Our guides had extra clothing and blankets in their vehicles. We had perfect weather for the sunrise. After the sunrise we walked the 15 minutes back down and had breakfast with hot chocolate (they have coffee too). This excursion was part of our tour and on of my favorite things that we did!!

Okay experience - The tour was just okay overall. It started off on a rough note when we were informed that our driver had gotten sick, which resulted in us being picked up about 40 minutes late. Our guide didn’t introduce himself and while other groups seemed to be getting detailed explanations about the Volcano’s history ours barely spoke to us at all. When it came time for breakfast, we couldn’t find him and had no idea where to go, so we ended up having to ask someone else for help. The weather being cloudy wasn’t the tour’s fault, but it did add to the overall underwhelming experience. I suppose it really depends on whether you’re lucky enough to get a good guide.
