We thought the boat ride and tour were a wonderful and fun experience. The boat ride was fun and the walking tour of the island was interesting. I would highly recommend the tour. I'm glad we departed from the Newburgh side. There are many good restaurants on the waterfront and we also went to the Newburgh brewery.

Pat was an excellent guide! Lots of information, interesting, and kept us 'moving'! It was also a beautiful day weatherwise- that was awesome too! I actually had reserved 2 for Next Sunday, and we arrived This past Sunday. Mr Caplan was MOST gracious to allow us to go, as there was enough room!! WHew!! The boat however, went to Beacon first, then turned to come across to Newburgh.. It did this coming Back as well..!! :o)... New captain "in training", We didn't mind the extra ride on the river!! Amazing what has been done by the Bannerman Trust on Pollepel Island!! Many many Kudos! Bannerman's Island was on my bucket list, and for 6 years we have been trying to get there.. SO happy, and it was a great and memorable day indeed!
