Bubba is the best guide in Africa - I did love the experience of Banjul city tour. Bubba was punctual, flexible, asking what I would like to add to the tour and offered a good price for an airport drop off. He is kind, open minded and a gem.

Bubba is the best tourist guide in Africa - Bubba was my host. He made an amazing job, show me everything, offered alternative sights to see, also offered a best prized airport transfer from my hotel. He was punctual all the time and very kind.

Fun Introduction to Banjul - Jimmy was a great guide and nice to talk to. I booked the trip late Saturday night and he picked me up on time early Sunday morning. We went to Arch 22. The monument has been neglected but of some the exhibits are interesting and Jimmy was happy to explain them to me. The view is pretty cool at the top, but the elevator doesn’t work so expect a lot of steps. Then, we went to the Albert market. There were many fewer sellers and shoppers since it was a Sunday, but I’m still glad I had Jimmy as a guide. It’s truly a maze and I never would have been able to find my way through. He has relationships with the souvenir vendors so he takes you to his friends. I got fair prices on all the souvenirs and they are usually happy to haggle since there aren’t too many tourists. Overall, it’s a good way to be introduced to the city. You shouldn’t expect a luxury experience, but it’s fun to chat with Jimmy and discuss life in Banjul.

Jimmy did a wonderful job handling our cruise group of 20 pax. Very educational and interesting itinerary and tour day - The best part of the day was the hour drive to and from the Tanji fishing village. Were able to see some real parts of Banjul during the ride and Tanji was straight out of National Geographic. Thankfully the temps stayed reasonable as the bus did not have air conditioning.

Outstanding private day tour of the Gambia with Jimmy - Our small cruise ship was going to be in Banjul for the day so I reached out to Kassama Tours to create a personalized day tour of some highlights that the four of us were interested in. Jimmy was very responsive and we texted through What's App to create a wonderful tour: Albert Market, Arch 22, Kachikally Crocodile Pool, Serrekunda Market (a slow drive by) and Tanji fish market. He and his driver met us in a comfortable car right at the entrance to the port and we had a busy, eye-opening trip. In Albert Market, Jimmy was patient and helpful as we negotiated the purchase of various arts and crafts and souvenirs. (He had thoughtfully brought small bills so he was able to help me change my larger bills in order to complete some purchases.) We climbed up Arch 22 together and I enjoyed the scenic overview of Banjul and the countryside as well as the small museum upstairs. We enjoyed the small museum at the Kachikally Crocodile Pool and seeing and petting the crocodiles outside of the holy pool. We had read about Serrekunda Market and about how large and chaotic it was but our slow drive past/through it was interesting (and sufficient for us without getting out of the car.) Last was our visit to Tianji fish market, which was an eye-opening experience. We then stopped in the Western District to enjoy a nice local meal under a nice fan with Jimmy. By the time he dropped us back at the ship, we had been with him for 7 hours (from 9 am to 4 pm) and we felt that we had made a friend, not just a tour guide, and we had gotten some insight into The Gambia. Highly recommend him!

Great overview tour of Banjul! - Jimmy was very helpful and patient with our visit to the huge Albert Market while we bargained for crafts and other souvenirs. He also had small bills so he was able to make change of our larger bills and that made making our purchases easier to complete. He walked with me all the way to the top of the Arch (the elevator is out of service) and I was able to enjoy taking photos from that vantage point. We had a comfortable car and driver along with him as our guide. Very nice experience!

Waste of Time! - Nothing to see in Banjul and the driver didnt turn up at first! When I contacted him, he made some excuse about a funeral, and only after approx 2hrs, a replacement driver was found, he was pleasant, but not a guide!

Tour operator never showed up. - Got off the ship in Banjul. Texted and called repeatedly where to meet him. Never answered the question. Never showed. I would like a refund and caution others not to trust this operator.
