Walking with the Lions - It was one in a life time experience. The Lion walk was unbelievable. The guides were very helpful and welcoming. Our driver patiently drove round for a long time to find the giraffes and we were not disappointed. Baboucarr Jobe our tour guide from The Gambia was very patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Unique adventure - This was a fantastic day out. Our guide Jaria and her brother picked me up early from hotel and drove us to Banjul port for ferry embarkation. Then we took 4x4 drive to reach park in Senegal . Then we had a guide from park to go around with very knowledgeable guy. Going around the park he pointed out everything for us . Then we continued through the park taking loads of photos of all the animal and specially Lion encountered. It all made for an unforgettable day. Highly recommended.

Fathala Safari - Amazing experience. You get picked up from the tour guide and drive to Banjul to catch the ferry. This journey is amazing. Everything is on the ferry people, goats, trucks, etc. The immigration bit can be timely, but you get to see Senegal in that short time. Please make sure you purchase books, pens, and sweets to give to the beautiful children. Fathala itself is lovely. You get to see giraffes, Kevin the rhino, antelope, zebras, and the option to do the Lion walk (D3000) - which I would HIGHLY recommend, the experience is phenomenol. The tour guide Babou Carr was excellent. After the amazing sights, we stopped for some lunch before heading back for the ferry and even spotted dolphins.

Lovely experience! - What a beautiful experience! We had a super nice guide who was neat on time and arranged everything. The ferry crossing is pleasantly busy and you look forward to the onward journey to Senegal. We've been able to see all the animals. In Banjul we enjoyed a delicious lunch.

Do it. - Wear a jumper on the ferry and take some pencils/writing books and sugar free sweets for the kids on the journey. Baboucarr is a chilled out friendly fella who made it a great experience, our 4x4 driver, forgotten his name sorry, was also great and got us through the border crossings smoothly.

Safari Fathala - Totally top our guide Babou had arranged everything the tickets the cars and other guides and lunch. Excellently arranged all. Dear man who also likes to explain a thing or two about the country and its people. But also animals and or plants. And where this trip is private There were 2 of us. And did not go in such a big truck jeep into the park. We had a very nice day. Babou had arranged it top.

Safari with animal guarantee - The journey there is miss still the greatest adventure! Safari itself is fun and you are guaranteed to see all the animals. Some animals are fed which does ensure that they are visible.

A great day out with a fabulous guide. - Babou Carr our guide was simply excellent throughout the day. He made joining the ferry simple through the throng of humanity going about its daily business. We then met a good driver for the journey to and around the park. We had a great view of the animals. It’s useful to see this as a UK ‘Safari Park’, but with a more natural setting and weather. Most of the big game animals are not (now) native to Senegal, but they are well protected. Lunch was in a local restaurant and introduced us to local dishes The drive each way gave us a glimpse of rural life in both countries. On return, the ferry was out of action, so our guide organised a private pirogue trip for a few Dalasi a head rather than a 6-hour wait. I still pity the chap who had to wade out to the boat with me on his shoulders! This unintended excursion from the plan really added to the day. Mist thoroughly recommended.

Best to buy ticket from hotel saves £80 off - An experience of a lifetime. We paid our hotel rep £90 for transport and entry into Safari park. Make sure bring yellow fever card and passport as its needed at the border in and out. Wear used clothes as it a very dusty experience. Make sure hold onto your bags at the port as hundreds of people will be on the boat and getting on and off ferry.

Fantastic experience - Had a great trip to Senegal from Gambia. The ferry crossing was a real experience among the locals. With our private guide we could quickly cross the border. The tour of the Fathala Wildlife Reserve was short but powerful. For an hour we were able to spot virtually all the animals that live in the park. Only downside of the tour was the fact that we had to eat quickly so we could take the ferry back on time. And drinking (bottles of water) was not included during this tour.
