Great guide - Komang Raka was an excellent guide and we really enjoyed the trip up the mountain. It's amazing to be able to see smoke coming out of the volcano and to even be able to boil an egg in the rockface!
While we couldn't see the sunset (too cloudy) we were happy enough to have got to the top without any slips.
Thank you Komang Raka for the company and good conversation!

Great experience at sunset tour with komang raka :) - Would 100% recommand the sunset tour, if you want a little bit more privacy! We were so lucky with the weather and enjoyed the trekking so much! Our guide komang raka made our experience very special and we loved to talk to him. He is such a kind person and very ambicious. He prepared a yummy meal for us at the top and was in general a very good guide. If possible I would highly recommand asking for him to go up. He also does sunrise tours.
We were also so lucky with our driver Sari who picked us up and brought us back to the hotel. She is such a kind person, we had great conversations and she also loves hiking! :)

Beautiful sunset Trekking! - We went for the sunset trekking. The way up has a stunning view and at the top we were alone. We had such a great time with our guide komang raka who we highly recommend. He is such an inspiring person with very good knowledge about the area and always a smile ob his face. If possible i would advice you to ask for him to go up! He prepared us a delicious meal for sunset. 10/10 experience, would do it again!

Worth it - The whole trek takes about 2 hrs. The ascent starts around 1200 m (~3950 ft). The summit is at 1,717 m (5,633 ft). The hard climb is mainly because of the rugged and uneven surface to climb on. The trail is filled with volcanic rocks that give the natural appeal but is hard on your foot, ankle and knees. In the end it was well worth the hike.

Sunset tour - Stunning view if you get the right weather probably the best thing we did in Bali. Get a guide to take you makes it far easier and you'll get a nice meal and hot drink too. A must do in Ubud

Perfect hike at sunset - Perfect! I climbed Mount Batur with Sudi, a very nice local guide. The hike is tough but worth it. Must do in Bali and make sure bring good shoes with grip!!!

Sunset trek Mt Batur - Experienced this just recently. Incredible and tough hike up into the clouds to the summit.
Our guide was the young Komang, so incredibly patient and knowledgeable of the path and tricks on how to manage it. He had amazing humour, was always encouraging and stayed in really good spirits the whole time, honourable mention to his photography skills, took some very memorable shots of us througout. He also took care of us from a curious monkey at the top that was getting a little too close for comfort.
Hope to hike with you again one day komang!

Fantastic experience! - Highly recommend this Mount Batur tour and guide. The hike was very challenging and two others in my group were able to make it all the way to the top with Komang, but unfortunately I could not complete the full walk. Komang went above and beyond to make sure I still had an amazing experience by quickly organising a dirt bike to take me about 95% of the way to the summit, and I hiked the final section myself.
Komang was an excellent guide. Very professional, great English, and he kept spirits high with a few jokes along the way which really helped on such a tough hike. I felt well looked after the entire time. Overall, a fantastic experience and I would absolutely recommend Komang to anyone doing Mount Batur!!

Amazing hike with amazing guide!!! - My partner and I did the Mount Batur hike together and had an absolutely fantastic experience. Our young guide, Komang Raka, was truly amazing. He’s a local who walks the mountain every single day, and his knowledge, kindness, and enthusiasm really made the hike special.
At the summit, Komang cooked us volcano eggs, which were incredible, and he also surprised us with snacks and chocolate — such a thoughtful touch after the climb. He was encouraging, friendly, and made us feel safe and well looked after the entire time.
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or experience. If you’re booking a Mount Batur hike, we highly recommend booking with Komang Raka. You won’t regret it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just great - It was a great experience, we loved it. Our young guide was super friendly and made us feel safe on the trails. He prepared a delicious picnic for us, and took the time to show us lots of things! Thanks a lot!
