A wonderful experience as a lifetime memory! - While I was travelling around the world, I met Shaon and became friends with him and had him give me a tour of the homestay, traditional food and Siret on a motorbike, which was a great experience. It is still a vivid memory and one I will never forget. Shaon's family were all kind and warm and very welcoming and it was amazing. It was really good to experience it because it was all things I couldn't usually experience as a Japanese. I want to go back and see my family again someday. Wishing your family and Shaon a healthy and happy life ☺️✨

Best expérience in Bangladesh - What an incredible experience had with Sawon! In just 2 days we were able to do so much together : hours exploring on motorcycles, meeting local tribes, observing migratory birds, meeting all his friends and family.... He's really an incredible guy, interesting, caring, respectful and very ambitious, with great plans for the future. This experience made my trip to Bangladesh even more unique and it is for this kind of experience that I travel ... thank you for these unique moments and see you in 5 years!!! If you travel to Bangladesh, you have to meet him ... you won't regret it believe me

A beautiful memory - My time in the charubala Homestay was fantastic! First of all, Sawon, was an excellent host, guide and most importantly, friend. He made me feel comfortable wherever I was, and insured I was having the best experience. His family was lovely and fed me great food and he himself took me to many places and we spent some great times together making memories in different villages, and having a truly authentic local experience. I look forward to revisiting Sawon, and making some more stories with him.

An unforgettable, truly authentic experience in Sylhet - My stay with Sawon was hands down one of the most special and unique travel experiences I’ve ever had in Bangladesh—meeting him is a must if you come to this region. I stayed at his place in Sylhet, where I got to meet his friendly housemates and immediately felt at home. From there, we travelled together to his village, where he introduced me to several indigenous communities and I even got to celebrate Holi with them. It was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience authentic Bangladeshi culture and meet the most wonderful, welcoming people—especially his family—whom I never would have met if I were travelling alone. Sawon is a very special host: incredibly warm-hearted, attentive to every need, and genuinely committed to his community. You can really feel how much he cares about both his guests and the people around him. I’m wishing him all the best with his homestay project and I highly recommend staying with him if you want something truly meaningful, not just a place to sleep. Thank you again for everything—I hope I can host you someday too!

Local hospitality, tea plantations, and unforgettable memories - I stayed with Sawon’s family for three nights, and even though Sawon himself was in London at the time, everything was perfectly organized and smoothly coordinated. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with great warmth and hospitality, which immediately made me feel comfortable and at home. During my stay, I had the chance to explore the surrounding area with a local friend: we visited a Khasi village, a beautiful waterfall, and several tea plantations, making for a truly enjoyable and authentic experience. On another day, we explored more tea plantations and visited a nearby nature reserve, where I was fortunate enough to see migrating birds, a memorable and peaceful experience. Many thanks to Sawon and his lovely family for their kindness and generosity. I highly recommend this experience to travelers looking for genuine local hospitality and meaningful cultural encounters.

Best family in Bangladesh ! - We had the most wonderful time staying with Sawon and his family. They welcomed us like family from the very first day. Everything was perfect: great vibes, delicious and relaxed meals, discovering the surrounding area and local villages, and even an amazing jungle hike. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for sharing your home and your culture with us. These few days will stay in our memories for a long time. Truly a beautiful experience with beautiful people.

Bangladesh up close - Sawon is an enthusiastic young host and guide who will help you discover the authentic, less touristy side of Bangladesh. We went out with him in Sylhet, visited his family and homestay in Juri, explored tribal villages and tea plantations, trekked through a beautifully untamed tropical forest, sampled local food, and met his friends. Sawon not only offers interesting exploration ideas but is also open to your interests and suggestions. If you're looking for a relaxed and authentic travel experience, we highly recommend Sawon!

Cherished Memories in Rural Bangladesh - Staying with Sawon and his family was not only the highlight of my trip but also one of my most cherished experiences—not only in Bangladesh, but also during my wider travels. Even though when I contacted him it was quite last minute and didn’t leave him lots of time to organise, he still got back to me super quickly and we met up a few hours later. He showed me around and we went to the Hindu temple together and ate some food there. We then went to his place in Sylhet—which was super nice, comfortable and well decorated—before heading to his hometown of Juri. To go there we took the train; thankfully he was able to help out with arranging the train ticket (as it is not so straightforward to book train tickets in BD as a foreigner). I really enjoyed the train ride and found the scenery to be quite beautiful. Once in Juri he showed me my room which was quiet, clean and tidy (and had a mosquito net so I was sure to sleep soundly). I really loved being in his home—with its beautiful garden and all the animals—and being around his lovely family. On one of the days we were joined by Sawon’s girlfriend, Shammu, and her friend, Saika, and we went on an excursion together on the water-lily lake by boat and visited the scenic place of Jaflong at the border with India. Some of the other things we did included: -Visiting Madhabkunda eco-park & waterfall. We then went to visit a remote Christian village in the forest with the nicest people and met with some betel leaf harvesters. -Going out on his motorbike driving through the wetlands and plantations. Had the most amazing experience at sunset witnessing thousands of birds flying and setting up camp for the night in the trees. Being with Sawon pretty much felt like hanging out with an old friend and the communication was easy and comfortable. I think he had a really good intuitive sense of my mood and energy levels. I felt like he gave me a lot of space and was supportive when I was feeling tired or overwhelmed and he always took the time to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. As a result I always felt super safe in his company and could relax knowing that he had my back and was looking out for me. I have the most fond memories of my time spent with Sawon. I couldn’t recommend this experience more to you and I wish him all the best for his future.
