- Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market - The Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market is only open on weekends and public holidays, with opening hours between 8am and 5pm. It can get quite busy, so we recommend visiting earlier in the day so that you can explore the market when it’s quieter.
If you don’t fancy an early start then it’s a good idea to visit Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market at around lunchtime. There are plenty of food stalls selling delicious local dishes for extremely reasonable prices, so it’s ideal if you’re looking for a good value lunch!
Although the market can get quite busy at times, in our experience it was more busy with local tourists. Unfortunately it can be quite hard to avoid the crowds as the market is only open a few days a week, and so it’s regularly busy from around 10am onwards.

Pick-up is available at hotels located in the heart of Bangkok. Visit Wat Arun, a majestic temple that proudly graces Bangkok’s skyline, having been established long before industrialization. Visitors often come here in a pilgrim-like manner, as it is one of the few temples where climbing the main staircase is allowed, offering adventurous individuals breathtaking views of the lively Chao Phraya River, the Grand Palace, and Wat Pho across the river.
Take a boat tour around the Chao Phraya River and head to Ladmayom Market, the most authentic floating market in Bangkok. Nestled in the outer district of Taling Chan, it is seldom visited by Western travelers.
Although it is more challenging to reach than other floating markets, the food is exceptional, and the longtail boat rides are remarkable.
Additionally, the local atmosphere is very laid-back and relaxed. Enjoy the local lifestyle with both floating and land markets, where you can have a snack, drink, or lunch. The service is provided by a professional licensed guide and driver.
