Exploring the woods by the light of the moon. - This night hike was a highlight of our trip, even though it was extremely cold, we bundled up and could walk by just the moonlight. The scenery was spectacular, our guide was informative and personable.

Incredible experience! - Phenomenal experience! The landscape under the moon light was straight out of a fairy tale. Jake, our guide, was knowledgeable, engaging, focused on safety and comfort and had a great sense of humour. Our family has memories together that will last a lifetime.

We had a wonderful... - We had a wonderful evening on this tour. Hiking at night is so peaceful. The trail was quiet and the snowfall was perfect ambiance. Having the headlamp was nice for when you wanted to look at something but walking with the dark sky was sensational. Neil was an incredible guide, and we would take a tour with him again, in a heartbeat!

Johnsons Canyon - Brilliant experience! Highly recommend. Jake our guide was fantastic - full of deep local knowledge of the area & wonderful stories of local explorers and founders. The best part by far was him saving our tour group from an unexpected avalanche on our hike to Johnson's Canyon. Beyond this, the hike was absolutely wonderful with postcard views & scenery along the way.

Jake’s a legend - Jake was an absolute blast! He fought off this huge mountain lion with only his hiking pole and good looks. Highly recommend doing this tour for anyone in Banff!!!!

Jake saved my life - Although Jake has great stories and exquisite music taste, that is not important. What is important is that when a bear pounced on us on our way to the lower falls, Jake was fearless. He snapped part of the wooden railing clean off and twirled the wickedly sharp point at the now cowering bear. But he wasn't done. Jake then used bear language to communicate with the bear and convinced him to never attack humans ever again. What a hero!

Beautiful and Special Experience - My guide, Tim, was very personable and knowledgeable. He shared local history and facts on the way to the canyon and during the icewalk, then played calming music on the way back to Banff to allow everyone to relax and unwind after the walk. The icewalk itself was stunning. Since it was late March when I went on the walk, the beginning was in daylight, allowing us to see more of the canyon and ice formations. Once we got to the turnaround point and had hot chocolate and maple cookies (such a delicious and cute touch!), darkness had fallen. We were able to enjoy a moonlit walk back under a few stars, which was so cool. Overall, it was a special experience with a small group and a great guide. Highly recommend!

Unique winter nature experience - This was a super unique experience, and getting to see the canyon at night was very cool. We were the only ones there, which is pretty rare for such a popular area. We saw some wildlife (fox) and the stars were incredible. Chloe was an awesome guide who shared many interesting facts about the canyon and Banff's history. She made sure everyone navigated the ice/snow safely and the tour pace was just right. Would recommend to anyone seeking to explore the canyon during the winter months!
