Bampton - Guests will be collected from their central London hotel and driven through the city and out into the Oxfordshire countryside. The first stops are in Oxfordshire, where the villages that became the village of Downton are visited. Here, photographs can be taken outside Matthew Crawley’s house, the hospital and the two village pubs. There are far too many other locations to list, plus the surprises are best kept for the day itself.

Plus a lot more… - Cotswolds - Other villages in the Cotswolds area are visited, kept as a secret surprise for guests, and these have all featured in the series. Leaving the villages behind, the journey heads cross country to Highclere Castle. This journey takes around 50 minutes, as Highclere is 40 miles away from the last Cotswold village. There will be a stop in the countryside for lunch (own expense) at an old English pub. Highclere Castle is arrived at after lunch.
- Highclere Castle - The guide will explain all there is to know about the Castle’s history, plus the Downton locations that will be seen before entering the rooms. This tour will not only show the life of Lord and Lady Grantham, but it will also treat every guest like a Lord or Lady for the day. Please book Highclere Castle tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. It is suggested that either 10.30am or 2.30pm is booked. Highclere Castle is not open all year round, so please check the Highclere Castle website. If the castle is not open on the day, an alternative is offered, which involves visiting the Downton villages and many more Cotswolds villages.

A Downton F-Abbey Experience! - We had a **bloody brilliant time** with our personal tour guide, Andrew! His extensive knowledge and **enthusiasm** for his job truly enhanced our experience. Andrew was not only **neatly groomed** but also demonstrated **impeccable driving skills**, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the day.
He provided us with a variety of options, allowing us to tailor the tour to our interests. The entire day felt incredibly relaxing, thanks to his thoughtful planning and attention to detail. I highly recommend Andrew for anyone looking for a fantastic tour experience!

Our driver / tour guide... - Our driver / tour guide Greg was extremely knowledgeable of Downton Abbey and each of the actual filming locations. He was professional, personable and friendly. Although the torrential rains put a damper on the day, we felt Greg provided us with a great experience. We recommend Greg without reservation.

Our trip tour of a lifetime. - This was the trip of a life time. I have never been more pleased with the tour guide Andrew. He made the entire trip across the pond so very memorable.
Thank you Andrew. Terri and I also appreciate your history knowledge. HighClere castle tour was super nice and very well organized. The add on tea was very-very nice and we were treated to a tasty selection, Mrs Patmore and Daisy would have certainly approved.

Unbelievable, fantastic experience - Our tour guide was Greg .. he was “ over the top great” … very knowledgeable and made the entire day and experience well worth it …He showed us everything he could about Downton Abbey ..had stories to tell us …was a great driver. If you love Downton take this tour, but even if you've never seen Downton there is much to enjoy. - This was a great way to get to Highclere Castle from London and see the villages where Downton was filmed. Even if you aren't a Downton fan (one of our group had never watched) you will enjoy the castle and historic villages. Our guide was well prepared and very knowledgeable about the host of the area. We always felt safe and would recommend this tour to our friends.

Family of 5 at Downton - What an amazing and memorable day! Andrew was a fantastic tour guide! He even played the Downton theme song as we pulled into the property. He knew so much about the Cotwolds and took great pictures of us.

A absolute must for all , Steven is the guide you want - We were lucky enough to have Driver/Guide Steven for the entire day while visiting the Cotswolds and Castle. It was absolutely brilliant. He was a wealth of information and made the day truly special. We visited many of the sites that were used in the filming and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. A pub lunch with Steven was a must and was a highlight. He was a warm and cheerful guide. If you have a chance to have this driver you will be very lucky. Rain (it poured) or shine it was well worth the cost of this full day trip. Best tour we had during our week in London
