The 17th-century complex features a pentagonal layout with an open courtyard and a temple altar, once a pilgrimage site for Indian fire-worshippers. Today, it functions as a museum.
• Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve - Visit Azerbaijan’s iconic “Burning Mountain” Yanardag, located 23 km north of Baku. The main attraction is a hill with a constantly burning wall of flames, fueled by natural gas leaks from tectonic shifts and volcanic material. Marco Polo mentioned these flames during his travels, and they have likely burned for many years. Declared a historical, cultural, and natural reserve in 2007, Yanardag offers a memorable experience of the “Land of Lights.”
