- Flame Towers - The tour will pass by the Flame Towers, a modern trio of curvy buildings inspired by Azerbaijan’s nickname, “Land of Fire.” These towers, completed in 2012, display moving flames visible throughout the city.
- Baku Old City - The second main destination is the Old City. Visitors are encouraged to explore this ancient area with its narrow, stone streets, especially in the evening light. The streets are lined with houses of old architectural styles, bustling local restaurants, and souvenir shops. Notable sites include the twelfth-century Maiden Tower and various archaeological remains within the Shirvanshahs complex.
- Nizami Street - This elegant, illuminated area is a complete shopping destination. Visitors can stroll through this spectacular space, which features stylish brand shops, restaurants, cafes, decorative art sculptures, and illuminated fountains. Nearby is the national literary museum, and Fountains Square is also included.
- Fountain Square - Starting from Istiglaliyyat Street and the walls of Icheri Sheher, Fountain Square stretches through Nizami Street, also known as Torgovaya Street, running parallel to Baku Boulevard. The square is named for its numerous fountains, first built during Soviet Azerbaijan. It hosts many public festivals, shows, and celebrations.
- National Flag Square - The tour will pass by National Flag Square, covering 60 hectares (150 acres). The square features Azerbaijan’s state symbols—the coat of arms, the anthem, and a map of the country.
- Government House - Along the way, visitors will see the large, beautifully lit Government House, a stunning example of Baroque architecture in Baku. It stands as a remarkable symbol of the capital city, alongside the Flame Towers and Maiden Tower.
- Baku Boulevard - The next stop is Baku Boulevard, a sea embankment and pride of Baku. This 25-kilometer park features exotic trees, shopping and entertainment centers, bicycle paths, and views of the Government House of Soviet Azerbaijan. The park is also famous for its small version of Venice, with canals, bridges, and boat trips that captivate visitors.
Walking further from the Boulevard, visitors will find a large carousel named Baku’s Eye, Crystal Hall (built for Eurovision), the National Carpet Museum, Deniz Shopping Mall, and more.
- Heydar Mosque - For those interested in Islamic architecture, the tour will include a longer break to admire the spectacular night view of the largest mosque in the Caucasus.
- Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center - The next visit is to the Heydar Aliyev Center, a masterpiece of modern architecture in the deconstructionism style by “Queen of Curved Lines,” Zaha Hadid. The center’s grounds feature a beautiful park with green lawns, white footpaths, and original sculptures, including the popular “I Love Baku.”
- Baku Olympic Stadium - The final destination is the Baku Olympic Stadium, a 68,700-seat venue built to the highest international standards for hosting sports and social events. Nearby, visitors can see a flame-like tower surrounding a fountain, a lighted building with moving visuals (the Gymnastic Arena), and a pyramid resembling the Louvre Museum at the Koroglu subway exit.
