perfect even on a rainy day - We went on a cloudy and rainy day, unfortunately so we didn’t snorkel, but the boat ride was still super fun and the crew was amazing. Joel (spelling), Eddy the chef, made the trip great. They were both very friendly and funny and Eddy’s guacamole was straight from heaven! Highly recommend I would imagine on a better day the snorkeling would have been perfect!

Lots of fun! - The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was yummy and it was so much fun to have drink drinks on the boat. It was cloudy in a little bit rainy on the day that we went, but it was still a lot of fun. My one suggestion would be if you have a rash guard or swim shirt/pants of some type to bring those for the snorkeling as both of my boys got stung by jellyfish during that part. The crew was very helpful and it really didn’t ruin the trip.

An unmissable experience in Balandra - The tour to Balandra with Cabo Adventures is totally worth it. It is a very complete and well organized experience that is enjoyed from start to finish. Although the group was multi-person, I travelled alone and at all times felt accompanied and very well taken care of.
During the snorkeling we could see several fish and it was a very nice experience. Shaggy had a lot of patience with the whole group, giving clear directions and helping everyone feel comfortable in the water.
Sergio was also one of our guides and was always on the lookout. He took the time to explain techniques such as freediving and to guide me on diving certification; you clearly notice the passion with which he does his job and how he enjoys sharing his knowledge.
Our captain Jorge did a great job throughout the tour and Eddie was always attentive to drinks and taking care that we were all okay. After the snorkeling, we were taken to another beach where you could swim quietly or use the kayaks, which was an excellent complement.
The water in Balandra is beautiful, completely crystal clear, and the setting is stunning. It is certainly a tour that I recommend and a worthwhile experience.

Fabulous trip full of natural beauty - Excellent tour from start to finish . Really knowledgeable and professional staff, fabulous food on board , saw lots of wild life and the snorkelling was amazing and beautiful beaches. Definitely recommend this trip .

Better than expected - Everything was better than I expected. The food was very good, drinks were cold, catamaran was great, bus was very comfortable, Sea of Cortez water was wonderful, and the staff were all very sttentive. They worked hard to make sure we felt very taken care of. It was a very long day - almost 12 hours from pick-up to drop-off. Also worth noting, there were plenty of washroom stops.

12 hour travel day - be prepared - We had a fun enough time on the excursion itself, the snorkeling was nice and the boat was great. All the individuals leading our tour were wonderful. But I couldn't give this 5 stars because it was an incredibly long day and we were not prepared for that at all!!! You really should update brochures and material to state that this trip will take all day. We were under the impression that it would be about 8 hours and we were gone almost 12 hours. That is why I rated it lower than a 5. The excursion itself was 4 hours, but then it is almost 2 1/2 to 3 hours to the excursion location and back. Then on top of that the bus broke down on the drive there and we had to wait. The whole trip description is just very misleading. You state a breakfast is provided, but that is provided when you reach the boat, which we didn't reach until noon when we left our hotel at 7am. We were starving by that point. We should have brought snacks for the bus ride, but we were not made aware of this fact. They also did not tell us to bring towels and we really could have used them, so bring your own towels for this excursion!! Our info provided said to bring swimsuits, sunscreen, a sun hat, but never said anything about towels. The snorkeling and the beaches were wonderful, but the other aspects of the trip really detracted from our overall experience.

Skip This Excursion! - While the guides and boat crew were absolutely lovely, the experience as a whole was a bust. The description is highly misleading. The bus ride to the boat is closer to 3.5 hours, not 2 hours (most of us were under the impression that the entire excursion was 8 hours, not 12, based on the description). The $20 US cash/person we had to bring to go to Balandra Beach was a scam. Perhaps the one we went to was considered to be one of the hidden beaches, but it was by far the ugliest, smelliest, and filled with flies. We were in close proximity to the island covered in bird poop and the fish farm (hence the flies). All of the other boats were at the beautiful hidden beaches that we didn't visit. In addition, everything people have said about the jellyfish is true. Almost half our boat was stung. I understand the crew doesn't have any control over this, but to act like it's out of the ordinary is ridiculous and people should be made aware before booking. Finally, the description says you will swim with sea lions & starfish. We circled where the sea lion colony is, but were told we will not swim with them because that is a different excursion. I don't appreciate the lie in the description. I do not recommend this excursion. Fix the description, Viator!
