Would book another tour here anytime! - Whether Bagamoyo is the right target is up to everyone to decide for themselves. There are old buildings, the first church and ruins to see. Plus the history of slavery, the arrival of the Arabs, the missionary work of the Germans, the takeover by the English and independence. Lots of history, though the ruins of the Arabs were really rather boring. I still enjoyed the tour with rider Brian and guide Erick. Both have always taken care of my well-being and good mood. Lunch was at a local restaurant - I followed the boys' suggestions while eating and did nothing wrong. We also had a cold local beer. At the end of the tour Erick invited me for a... or two... or three cups of local gin - under a tree in the shade between the motorcycle taxis or the riders. So learning a little Swahili couldn’t be avoided 😊. The organization was impeccable, I would book a tour here again at any time and certainly with Brian and Erick.
