Top notch customer support! - We booked multiple excursions through Costa Rica Expeditions, and every single one exceeded our expectations. From jet skiing and zip-lining at the Congo Trail to an unforgettable rainforest adventure and a half-day inshore fishing trip, everything was flawlessly organized and incredibly enjoyable. Carlos was outstanding—he really took the time to understand what mattered most to our family and tailored each experience perfectly. Our rainforest guide, Mick, was exceptional. His deep knowledge of the region’s trees, plants, and wildlife made the tour fascinating, and he added meaningful cultural insights that made it especially engaging for our 13-year-old. Highlights included visiting Llanos de Cortez, relaxing in mud baths and hot springs, enjoying a delicious local lunch, and seeing an incredible variety of wildlife—monkeys, sloths, frogs, snakes, and birds. The inshore fishing excursion was another standout. Valentino, Mario, and Jesus went above and beyond to make sure we had a successful and fun experience. Valentino even took me snorkeling, where I saw an amazing array of marine life, including fish, rays, and starfish. I can’t recommend Costa Rica Expeditions and their entire team highly enough. Truly a top-notch experience from start to finish!

Superb Experience - Better than anticipated. Our driver guide Alex is a true Costa Rican patriot and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of the countries environmental, social and economic well being. Learned a lot. Waterfalls were stunning, rain forest was spectacular and fortunately, we saw some parts of nature we didn’t even know existed, like pink bananas and sensitivity plants. The baby pit viper, frogs and Sloths stole the show… definite must go.

Book with Carlos at Costa Rica Expedition Tours he is the Man tours are amazing - Our group of 6 stayed at Planet Hollywood and used Carlos to book three excursions. Carlos is located on the beach just behind the main pool. We booked a private full day tour and visited the waterfall, hot springs and sloth tour. A half day fishing and wrapped up our last night of vacation with the sunset catamaran. Our tour guide for the full day tour was Meek. Meek was absolutely amazing and we are lucky to have had the pleasure of spending a day of our vacation with him. His energy, love of Costa Rica and knowledge are second to none. The tour was amazing if you want to get out and see the area when you’re here book this tour. Ensure you request Meek he really made the day!! Fishing was great the crew worked hard to keep us on the fish all day. We caught 15 Tuna, a big yellow fin and a large jack. We used a number of techniques including trolling, casting and live bait. I highly recommend this excursion. Many other groups in the resort went on this trip and caught lots of fish also. We wrapped up the trip with a sunset catamaran with the group. It’s a great way to wrap up your vacation. We saw lots of great sea life on the trip including a giant manta ray. When snorkelling we saw various fish, more small rays and a sea turtle. The crew prepared a tasty meal and the sunset didn’t disappoint. If you’re at Planet Hollywood, get out and book with Carlos and Costa Rica Expedition Tours he’s the man.

Great experience and friendly staff - We had such a great time! Carlos was super helpful and not pushy at all. He helped us book 2 different tours, and both were 10 out of 10. We highly recommend using them to plan your Costa Rica excursions.

Full Day to Explore Costa Rica - We did the volcano tour with the bio reserve and waterfall. Our guide Alex was great and very patient. He let us explore at our own pace. We stayed at Secrets in Papagayo and he pick us up on the mark without an issue.

Blue River Tour Custom for us - An excellent day with Alex (tour guide) started with the amazing transition in views from the two regions (Pacific & Atlantic coasts). The Rain Forest was epic. Next, the approximately 2 mile hike up the volcano side was an experience. Our delicious lunches (sea bass & chicken breast) were made better by the awesome tour (much shorter) afterwards. The amount of slothes, Tucans, snakes and frogs we saw were stunning. Alex was highly skilled and had indepth prospectives that kept us engaged. #memorable

Custom-made tour for us - Today, we had an amazing time with Alex. Our tour was to hike the rain forest along side the volcano and view the water falls. The views were outstanding. Afterwards, our lunches were exceptionally tasty. The fish and chicken were delicious. Directly next to the restaurant, we toured the wetlands to view slothes, snakes, and different frogs. All were everywhere. So many slothes were so close that we took amazing pictures. Alex was amazing with his knowledge and Costa Rica connection with the US. A wonderful experience was had by all - Me and my family had the best time in the rain forest and all the animals we saw were incredible! Our tour guides were great and our driver was so nice and personable. He was like family. The price was very reasonable as well. When we go back to Costa Rica we will definitely take the trip again.
