Good night, bad dinner - The temple was very interesting, and Dewa showed us all around the grounds and explained things to us. Obviously, because the temple is still used for worshiping, you’re not allowed to actually enter it but it is still beautiful nonetheless. You do have to dress appropriately, and if you are not wearing long enough pants you’ll have to wear a sarong and belt. The Kecak dance was very cool and interesting. The night would’ve been totally perfect as Dewa is a great tour guide, however the restaurant we went to for dinner it was absolutely awful. It was a shame, since it was on the beach.

Not my favourite Bali tour - Our tour guide was great, really informative and friendly... but I didn’t love the places we visited. The highlight for me was visiting Monkey Forest, loved that part! The Kecak Dance wasn’t enjoyable to watch, we left before it finished. I was expecting more of a fire dance but it was just walking on coals at the end of the performance. The singing/chanting throughout isn’t nice, it was annoying. I feel bad saying that because I understand it’s a traditional thing, but I couldn’t wait for it to be over. We were also swarmed by moths that were attracted to the lights. We skipped the dinner because we were staying in Ubud and would have gotten back very late.
