- Batu Bolong Beach - The Surf Lessons Bali instructor will pick up participants from their Canggu accommodation approximately 45 minutes before the scheduled lesson. Batu Bolong is typically chosen for beginner lessons due to its consistently gentle waves, offering a safe and enjoyable surfing experience. If weather, tide, or swell conditions are not ideal, an alternative nearby location will be selected.
Participants will be provided with a high-quality beginner (foam) surfboard, designed for enhanced stability on the waves, ensuring quick progress to standing and surfing. A rash vest is also available if needed, to protect against sun exposure and board rash.
Lessons begin with fundamental surf instruction, an overview of the location, any local hazards, and a water safety briefing. For those who are not strong swimmers or have a fear of the ocean, the lesson can be conducted in waist-deep water, or flotation vests can be provided for added reassurance.
After the lesson, there is an opportunity to receive feedback on areas for improvement, capture a victory selfie, and enjoy a complimentary bottle of water.
