• Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Day Tour of Sakkara, Memphis & Dahshur

The guide will pick up the group and start the guided tour with a scenic drive through the countryside to Sakkara to visit the Step Pyramid, the first pyramid ever constructed, along with the surrounding monuments. The guide will provide an in-depth history of Imhotep, the Egyptian architect who designed this pyramid, and explain how he achieved this monumental feat.

After exploring this area, the tour will proceed to the Pyramid of Teti, known for its inscribed texts, and several private tombs.

• Pyramid of Teti - Situated in Saqqara, Egypt, the Pyramid of Teti is a fascinating ancient structure built as the final resting place for Pharaoh Teti. It stands as a testament to the ingenuity and architectural skill of the Old Kingdom, drawing visitors worldwide with its impressive size and historical importance. Visitors can explore the chambers and corridors of this pyramid to discover the mysteries of ancient Egypt and immerse themselves in the rich history of this iconic landmark.
• Memphis and Sakkara - The tour continues with a visit to the open-air Museum at Memphis, where the Colossus of Ramses II, the largest statue of Ramses the Great, can be seen in its original discovery location, alongside the Alabaster Sphinx.
• Bent Pyramid - The Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid are located about 2 km south of the Mastaba Faraoun. These pyramids are believed to have been constructed by Snofru (2575 - 2551 BC), the first ruler of the 4th Dynasty.

Snofru built these two pyramids and is also thought to have constructed the pyramid at Maidoun. His son, Cheops, continued his architectural endeavors.

On the return journey to Cairo, there will be a stop at a local carpet-making school where visitors can observe the skilled local children weaving carpets and wall hangings.

At the end of the day, the group will be transferred back to their hotel.
