Fantastic all-day tour of archaeological sites in Egypt - We had such a fantastic day out visiting these amazing archaeological sites. Our Egyptologist guide Tony was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We got an in-depth understanding of Egyptian history from him. We were particularly interested in his explanation of how hieroglyphics are used. We highly recommend this tour.

Lovely team… thank you - I would like to say it was a beautiful experience with Ocean Air tours visiting the Pyramids, Camel ride, Saquarra, Memphis, Papyrus and Oil merchants. Saber our lovely guide is a brilliant man, very warm, kind and friendly. He was quite knowledgeable and knew his onions right. He did not for once fluster. The pick up driver from the hotel was a lovely gentleman too. Air conditioned ride to and fro with a good restaurant choice. The team were very prompt and kind too, responded to my WhatsApp query promptly and kindly. All I can say to the beautiful team is thank you so much for making my dream of visiting the pyramids a memorable one and you are a lovely team. PS - Saber I need 2000 red camels 😀😀.. just kidding.

All the main sites in one day - The tour is exactly is described. A very friendly, informative guide provides interesting information about the various sites and the history of ancient egypt. The tour starts at Memphis and Saqqara and then moves back to Giza. At Saqqara we visited the Imhoteb museum and you can see where recent excavations took place. Before the Giza pyramid visit, there is an optional buffet lunch, which you can decide to join or not. The tour guide is excellent at brining the group together and providing a wonderful tour experience. I can highly recommend this tour because you see so much more than the Giza pyramids, with a great tour guide and driver.

Great tour of sites, but with pressure to buy at shops inbetween - We had a great, knowledgeable tour guide that showed us around the major sites in Cairo, including the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Saqqara, and Memphis, as advertised. The tour guide was flexible and willing to take us to the museum too, as we were considering going there instead of Saqqara and Memphis. The tour also took us to a few shops and provided lunch as well. However, there were a few aspects of the tour that keep me from giving it a 5/5: 1. Paying $25 for a keffiyeh. Our tour guide told us to purchase a keffiyeh made from "real Egyptian cotton" from a vendor that the tour guide seemed to be friends with before the camel ride. I assumed that the $25 was a requirement for the camel ride, or at least included, but no. We paid another $25 for the camel ride, which was fine, until I saw that others were riding camels without a keffiyeh. So we were just coaxed into buying one. We were not told that buying one was optional. 2. Oil shop. This visit left a bad taste in my mouth. The tour guide offered to get free coffee for our group and I was surprised to see him lead us into an oil shop. That's when I realized that the oil shop was part of the agenda all along and they happened to serve coffee. The shop then proceeded to show us the oils and then almost demand that we purchase something. We visited a souvenir and papyrus shop as well, but we didn't feel any pressure to buy at those shops, unlike the oil shop. Again, the tour guide seemed to be good friends with the oil shop vendor and didn't push back on the vendor pushing us to buy. I lost some trust and good faith with our tour guide at this point of the tour. Lastly, the buffet we ate at for lunch (after visiting pyramids and sphinx) was decent, but every customer there was clearly other people on tours as well. That's when I started to wonder if the places/stores we were going to were getting commission/kickback from the tour guides taking us there. Lunch was fine since the food was decent and was paid for, but it was with the shops mentioned above that I started to see the dark side of the tour. If I were to do this tour again, I wonder if it would be possible to skip these. Otherwise beware of these shop visits and prepare to say no if you're not interested.
