The experience was... - The experience was fantastic. The only negative would be the drive there as it accounts for about 40% of the total time. However, the driver made exceptional time both there and back. The guide Jerry (Gerry?) Did a fantastic job ensuring everyone was taken care of. The trip was full but did not feel oversold which kept everything comfortable. We will absolutely use them the next time we are in Costa Maya. The fresh water lagoon is infinitely better than the salty sea.

Perfect day trip to Bacalar - We just completed our second booking with this company in the last two years, and the experience was fantastic. Karol is a highly knowledgeable guide who really added value to our trip. A special shoutout to our driver, Pollo; this was our second time riding with him, and the service was absolutely perfect. If you are visiting Mahahual, do yourself a favor and use this company. We will definitely be booking with this team again for our next visit. Highly recommended.

Amazing! Just book it! - Absolutely amazing!! Leo was our guide and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond a typical tour guide with his knowledge of Mayan culture, the region, etc... The lagoon is gorgeous and the food provided was excellent! We had a kid with a gluten allergy and one that is vegetarian so Leo made sure that the restaurant accommodated them. Communication before and after the tour is top notch. The office staff is amazing as well and were very helpful when we thought we misplaced a phone on the bus. The distance to the lagoon was further than expected so the tour was cut a tad short but that was not the fault of our tour. We just weren't docked in Costa Maya that long. Amazing experience and cant wait to do it again.

Beautiful Lagoon is a must see! - We had a great trip with easy directions to pickup location off the port. Very nice AC vans took us to the lagoon where a small group of 7. We saw different cenotes and native animals around the lagoon. The guides are very nice, fun and knowledgeable about the area. They cut up fresh fruit for us to enjoy and had beverages and snacks aboard. The lagoon is breathtaking and freshwater. Swimming was very comfortable and refreshing. Afterwards they took us to a nice local restaurant to eat lunch (they preordered the food on the boat so everything was fast and ready). Then we headed back to the port. Very relaxing and easy excursion! Thank you!

Beautiful and worth it! - 1st off, finding the pick up for us was a bit confusing. Get the directions and ask people where to go. It's a little bit of a walk to the Check in. We were offered a cold water bottle right away. It was very hot. Have hats and sunscreen. Juan was our tour guide. He was very polite and friendly. He shared lots of things about the Mayan culture. Our drive was an hour. We stopped and Juan picked up Honey pineapple and mango. You could use the restroom for one American dollar. Our van was full of fun people. Juan answered any questions you had. He had more water, soda, beer and snacks in the van. Everybody had plenty. We got to the pier and backlar was beautiful. We choose to spend an hour in the water. The Water was crystal clear and it was all white sands underneath and the temperature was warm. You didn't need a mask or a snorkel. It's not very deep either. We had honey pineapple. The sweetest I've ever tasted in. The Mango was extremely sweet as well. There was tequila and just a lot of fun. After our boat ride, we went into a little restaurant and ate the food was wonderful very tasty very authentic. Juan made sure we all had what we ordered and then some. We enjoyed the beef fajitas. We received a coffee cup for each family with the tour guide label. This was a unforgettable trip. Thanks Juan!

15/10 Bacalar tour - Don’t miss out on this awesome excursion! I would DEFINITELY recommend this tour to anyone cruising into Costa Maya. We had a FANTASTIC time with the Chak EK team (shout out to the awesome guide and driver Adan and Julio!). The team provided detailed information on how to navigate the port, where to meet AND had someone with our names on a whiteboard. After loading into a sprinter van (with glorious AC), we took about an hour ride to Bacalar that was filled with interesting anecdotes about the history and local culture of the area. Abraham and Andrea then took us out on their boat where there was music, delicious local pineapple/mango/dragon fruit and drinks. After taking in the beautiful views and learning about each cenote, we had a chance to swim in the gorgeous turquoise waters. We then had a delicious taco lunch and headed back to the port.

Clearest water ever - Our tour guide’s name was Jerry, he was a blast to be around! Told us about the history of the area, and paid for local fruit for us all to try. The water was the clearest I have ever been in, which was amazing, and it’s fresh water which makes it even more enjoyable. If your group is smaller, you do get paired with another group, which might be good to know. But even so, the people my partner and I ended up with were very fun and enjoyable to be with. Talked and told stories with us, partied, it was a great time. This tour also supports locals directly, purchasing produce and supporting tour guides is a great way to help the community. Would definitely recommend Bacalar to anyone interested!

A Beautiful Day in the Water - This was such a wonderful experience. The guide, Leo, and his team were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They gave us a lot of information about the area on our way to the lagoon and then served us fresh fruits and drinks while we were swimming. We swam for a long while in the beautiful, clear waters and had such a fun time with the family! The restaurant we went to for our lunch was amazing! The food was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. This excursion was one of the highlights of our trip, and I would recommend it to anyone!
