This is where the rainforest meets the reef the ideal home for a Cassowary. Time is spent here photography, exploring the beach, and enjoying the sea air. Learn about the Cassowary and the area over a cup of tea and a light snack.
- Paronella Park - Arriving welcomed by Paronella Park staff commence a 30min guided interpretive tour about the story behind this amazing Parkland. After the guided tour you have plenty of time to explore the landscaped gardens and the museum and make the most of the afternoon light to capture some great photos. Including is dinner across the road at the local hotel where you can experience an authentic pub-style meal. After dinner returning to the park we reconvene with our guide for the evening light tour and spectacular grand final show.

Our time offers a personalised interpretative tour departing Cairns at 11.15 am. The first destination is visiting the stunning Babinda Boulders for an interactive guided rainforest walk or swim. Followed by the extraordinary opportunity to see a Cassowary face-to-face in the wild, we journey through the art deco township of Innisfail and arrive at Etty Bay. Home to the Southern Cassowary, you will likely see a Cassowary enjoying the afternoon on the beach. This is truly an experience that you will talk about for years to come.

Thumbs up to Tropical Tours. - We had the unique experience to book and go on all 3 tours with Tropic Tours. We went to Daintree, Paronella Park, and The Tablelands We started with our guide Simon with The Daintree Tours. Our guide Simon was a wealth of information which he gladly shared with our group. We learned so much about plants, animals, the indeginouis people of this area. He taught us to greet the people with Yellada (which means hello). After the Daintree trip we knew we had to go on more excursions. A few days later we booked Paronella Park. Simon didn't disappoint. He kept building the story with interesting facts. We also swam at Babinda Boulders. My husband climbed a boulder and jumped off it into the water below. What a fun day. We wanted to see a Cassowary bird and Simon was on a mission for us to see one and we did! Then we booked The Tablelands. Oh my we tasted cheese, coffee, papaya, chocolates all from this area. The waterfalls were magnificent. For me the best surprise was The Fig Curtain tree. It took my breath away. On all our excursions Simon homemade bakery goodies for us to enjoy with our tea or coffee. Which tour was my favorite? All 3 of them! If you are spending some time in Cairns book all 3 tours. If you can't book all 3 pick one and go. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome! - Amazing trip! Simon was a great guide. We saw beaches, waterfalls and paronella park. Learnt the history about the loction. Worth a trip.

Phenomenal Family Run Tour - Simon and Renae operate an A++ tour. Of the number of tours we took during our 2 week Australian adventure, the hospitality, information, and service of this tour took the cake (or the banana bread). This is a small group tour and we ended up getting a private tour as a family of 5. Simon, the owner/tour guide, was so passionate about this region, his business, and sharing all the best of it with his guests. Our group ranged from 10-73 years old and Simon went out of his way to ensure we each had the best day, including finding us a bird! The staff at Paronella Park were also some of the most hospitable we met on our journey. People like Meg up in the gift shop, who simply strike up genuine conversation, made us feel so welcomed. We left with so much knowledge and respect for the northern Queensland region and lots of family memories of our trip.

Six Cassowaries and an Unforgettable Day at Paronella Park - Our tour with Simon to Paronella Park was incredible! Full of wildlife, history, and beautiful scenery. Simon mentioned he couldn’t guarantee cassowary sightings, but somehow we ended up seeing six! It was an unforgettable highlight.
Even with a cyclone forming nearby, Simon navigated the day seamlessly and made the experience feel relaxed and safe. He also picked a fantastic local pub for lunch with great food, which clearly reflects his culinary and hospitality background.
What truly sets Simon apart is his genuine love for the land and his passion for sharing it with others. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the entire tour special. We’re so grateful we got to experience this hidden gem with him and hope to visit again soon!

Incredible trip, a must see! - This is an incredible trip, with the best tour guide you could ask for. Simon's passion for the area and his work is evident throughout the tour, he is such a storyteller,bringing each place we visited to life.
Paronella Park and the story behind it is simply beautiful. We are so glad we did this trip, Tropic Tours is most definitely 5 star.

Great tour!! - Simon provides a wonderful tour while providing plentiful of knowledge and is a great story teller! I highly recommend this tour for anyone that is looking for something a more than just sites to see.

Special tours - Simon, our guide, had a deep knowledge of the places we visited and the flora and fauna of Australia, and was very passionate about explaining them to us, and it was a fun tour that we never got bored of during the long tour. Also, I was very grateful that a very kind and fun couple from Canada1 took care of me, even though I was not good at English.
On the way back to Cairns, he parked my car in a place where I could see the stars beautifully and it was one of my best memories to see the stars as far as the eye could see. I'm glad I joined this tour! Thank you.

Small group extraordinary experience; rainforest (flora & fauna) waterfall, turtles, coast & Simon’s unique storytelling - Award winning unique small group trip to Paronella Park; the story started to unfold from the moment myself and husband and our friends (another UK couple) joined Simon on the minibus. So much care has been put into explaining the area, its history, the wildlife and the unique gardens, castle & waterfalls at Paronella park. Renae’s lemon cake & coffee (tea) on the beach was literally icing on the cake! We will tell family & friends about Tropic Tours & hope to be back one day for Tablelands tour.

The far far away castle, and something more... - A fruitful day with our guide Simon, he is enthusiastic and passiomate in telling not only about the park and the rainforest, but also the history and stories behind EVERYTHING. We have such a good time with him, he is definitely the highlight of the trip!
Instead of only taking eye-catching photos for social media (though it is still very important), you are going to back home with soul touching memories and stories that tou won't forget.
