Paradise Cave - The tour guide and vehicle will pick up guests from their hotels in the Dong Hoi central area or along the route to Phong Nha, then head to Phong Nha National Park. Upon arrival, the group will visit Paradise Cave, the longest dry cave in Asia. Nestled among forested karst peaks, this impressive cave system stretches for 31km, though most visitors explore just the first kilometer. The scale is awe-inspiring, with wooden staircases descending into a cathedral-like space filled with vast, otherworldly stalagmites and stalactites. Arriving early is recommended to avoid the crowds, as tour guides often lead groups with megaphones during peak times (early afternoon). Paradise Cave is located about 14km southwest of Son Trach. From the buggy drop-off, there is an additional 600m climb to reach the cave entrance. For those wishing to explore deeper into the cave beyond the barrier at the end, there is a chance to see the eyeless cavefish that inhabit its ecosystem.

Phong Nha Caves - After lunch, the group will continue the journey to explore the remarkable Phong Nha cave. A boat ride on the Son River, lasting about 25 minutes, will take you to the Phong Nha cave. During the boat trip, you will see lush fields, local people, houses, and limestone formations along the river. Upon arrival, the visit begins; this water cave is renowned for its rock formations, which have been named the “Lion,” the “Fairy Caves,” the “Royal Court,” and the “Buddha.” As the boats approach the caves, they queue up, entering one or two at a time. Engines are turned off, and operators use long poles to gently guide them through the murky water. Once inside, the vast cavern opens up, with giant stalactite chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Without prompting, everyone falls silent, captivated by the grandeur of the stone cathedral. It’s a truly spectacular sight.
-
Dong Hoi - Return to the vehicle to depart Phong Nha. The group will head back to Dong Hoi for drop-off at hotels or designated locations. The trip concludes around 17:30.
