Additional Information

This journey was absolutely astonishing. Even though the commute to the desert and back may be exhausting, we relished the various halts we had during the travel. Our chauffeur, Simo, was exceedingly hospitable, pausing whenever anyone in the vehicle needed a respite and always with a cheerful demeanor. It’s important to point out: your trek to the…

An experience we would repeat again!! - One of the best experiences and it was only a night spent in the desert, with many things to do and following the itinerary on time. We would definitely repeat! Thank Mohammed Kwiskita for the kindness and professionalism, he made sure we were all fine all the time:)

Excellent 1 night stay in the desert 🐪 - We went from Fez to the Desert 🐪🐫 of Merzouga, stayed one night in the desert in a luxury campsite and the next day we returned to Fez. In the evening there was a little dance beside drums near a fire in the desert. The comfortable bed, there was light with solar panels and hot water with boilers. They gave us an acceptable dinner and the next morning breakfast. I recommend it.. Excellent attention of the boys from communication x Whatsapp as the guided tour of the desert. Saludos, Jorge.

Epic!! Must Do!! - The experience was absolutely amazing. Everyone involved was helpful, kind and generous. I would highly recommend this tour. We were a party of five and they accommodated us beautifully. The food and accommodations were amazing. The tents have heat and AC with private bathroom. The scenery was out of this world, and the experience of riding a camel through the desert at sunset was unbelievably epic. The only thing that I would say that was a slight negative was the length of the drive from Fes to the tour site. That being said, I would certainly return and do this again. 5 STARS!

Bucket list Camel ride in the Sahara - First, the trek to get to do this excursion was a long process in itself. Not knowing too much of the layout of Morocco, I could have cut some time. I landed in Marakkech and arranged a private transfer (ranges from $150 USD to $300) to Fez which takes about 6 hours. I arrived in Fez to sleep for a short period of time and woke up with a shuttle waiting for me to drive to Merzouga which was on time. The day trip to Merzouga is 9 hours with a handful of stops. In my opinion, most of the sights weren't so exciting but necessary for the driver to rest. As soon as we arrived to Merzouga, we immediately were greeted and taken on the camels for a sunset ride. We did have overcast weather and it wasn't blazing hot. The sheer expanse of the sahara desert was quite impressive. It really made my long journey worth it. The ride was maybe an hour and we did get to have a quick ride again in the morning. The stay was nice and clean with bathrooms. I was solo but was asked to share with a couple other guests in our tent. The dinner was pretty good and the entertainment after with music was as well. They offered a nice basic breakfast in the morning before I made the 9 hour journey back to Fez which included some of the same rest stops and sights. Keep in mind, you may be able to arrange a Marakkech to Merzouga and back transfer. I did not know this and is supposed to be faster. It worked out as I did get to spend a small bit of time in Fez before I had to make the drive back to Marakkech again. All in all, this was one of the biggest highlights of my trip. I got some amazing photos and video (bring a selfie stick).

One night in the desert - It was nice to enjoy the Sahara desert and to ride the camel. Great the dawn above the dunes. Good typical Berber dinner and night around the fire playing djembe. The trip from Fes was really long though (it was 8 hours driving each day), especially if you consider that we spent only one night there.

An Adventure Sahara Desert trip from Fes. - We had a blast on our Sahara Desert trip from Fez, but the organization left much to be desired. Our pickup contact, Redwan, initially stated a 7:30 am pickup, but then called at 7:00 am, rushing us to be ready in 7 minutes. Despite the chaotic start, transportation was comfortable and efficient. After a 6-hour journey, we finally arrived at the Sahara Desert, unfortunately we arrived late at the sunset. The camp staff rushed us to prepare for the camel ride, which was an incredible 30-40 minute experience, We loved it. - Don't pay extra for additional activities; they're not worth it. Ride your camel back to the entrance. - The camp exceeded my expectations, room excellent condition, well maintained, your own bathroom with shower, sizes of the room a bigger that some Raids(hotel) . Food was basic but sufficient and delicious. - The music and dance show was simple, featuring camp staff playing drums, but we still had a great time. I recommend this trip "Yes". Be aware that the return journey can be stressful due to multiple drivers involved. *Rating:* - Organization: 2/5 - Transportation: 4/5 - Camp Experience: 5/5 - Overall: 4/5

Not really recommended this way! - The overnight stay in the desert was nice and the people in that camp with the camels were friendly. The rest of the trip is a big setback. Lunch was fine on the way out. 1. The water would be included. Not once during the journey has this been given. 2. At 8:00 I was supposed to be picked up at the hotel. The day before I asked them if it was all going ahead because I didn’t hear from them and then they told me to be on the other side of the medina at 7:00. That's not agreed! Then they didn't respond to anything all day when I wasn't okay with that. Only very late an unclear reaction. 3. The stops are very commercial. You stop at a place where you can buy nuts to feed the monkeys. The exact same thing on the way back. On the way there and back you also stop at the same remote place for 40 minutes to buy souvenirs for high prices. Really a waste of time. And you see beautiful places passing along the way, where there is no stopping and he also does not say a word about what you pass. 4. The driver opens the window and does not turn on the air conditioning and sets the fan to the minimum power. For many hours you sit sweating in the car because of that. Hot as hell! 5. The driver drives hard and aggressively and sticks to every bumper when he can't pass and rants and honks at others on the way and overtakes dangerously in cluttered corners and then fingers crossed that no oncoming traffic will come around the corner. 6. It is supposedly a trip for 8 people maximum. So you're 14 on the bus and 50 in camp. 7. I had passed on that I was a vegetarian, they had not passed that on and so there was little to eat at dinner.

Non-compliance with Morroco Unique Tours commitments - Morocco Unique Tour was the firm selected for our 2-day trip in the desert. The trip was made in a mini van with 8 people on board for 8 hours , we paid for 2 breakfast, bed and dinner in the desert and mineral water during the 16 hour round trip. The firm did not meet its commitments of what was included as we had no breakfast on the way and no water provided during the 16-hour drive. She did not respect the agreement and paid more than 40 E for our group of 3 people, our group does not recommend this firm for this activity
