Rolled into Lisbon as the sun was setting, feeling like we’d just done the perfect road trip. If you’re heading from Por - Kicked off in Porto and hit the road south toward Lisbon, but instead of rushing straight there, we made a few stops that turned the drive into a wicked awesome day. First up was Aveiro — they call it the “Venice of Portugal.” Cute little canals, colorful boats, and the smell of pastries everywhere. Tried an ovos moles — sweet, creamy, and way better than it looks. Next stop, Nazaré. Even if you’re not into surfing, this place is unreal. The waves are massive, and the view from the cliff will knock your socks off. You just stand there, wind in your face, thinking, “Yeah… this is something else.” Last break before Lisbon was Óbidos, a picture-perfect medieval village with stone walls and cobblestone streets. Grabbed a little shot of ginjinha in a chocolate cup — because when in Portugal, why not?

I started in Porto, enjoying the Douro River, the Ribeira and a good francesinha. Then I stopped in Aveiro, a small but very nice town, with canals, typical boats and delicious ovo moles. The next stop was Nazaré, famous for its giant waves. Although it was not high season, the views from the Site were breathtaking. I ate fresh fish in front of the sea. Then I arrived in Óbidos, a charming medieval village, with walls, stone streets and ginjinha in chocolate cup. I ended up in Lisbon, with its Unique Mood and amazing views. It was a short trip but full of magical places. I totally recommend!

A Smooth and Memorable Journey - This full-day tour from Porto to Lisbon, with several short stops in Aveiro and a longer one in Fátima, was one of the highlights of the trip. Everything was well-organized, comfortable, and perfectly timed to enjoy different parts of Portugal without feeling rushed. The day started early in Porto. The guide was professional, friendly, and shared interesting insights about the regions we passed through. The vehicle was modern, clean, and air-conditioned—perfect for a long journey. We made three short stops in Aveiro, each offering a different side of the town. One stop by the canals with the traditional boats (moliceiros), another in the historical center with beautiful Art Nouveau architecture, and a quick stop to try the local ovos moles pastry. It was a quick glimpse into Aveiro, enough to enjoy its charm without staying too long. The next stop was in Fátima, where we had more time to explore. The sanctuary area was calm and powerful, with enough time to visit the Basilica, the Chapel of the Apparitions, and walk around at our own pace. It felt respectful and unhurried, which made the experience even better. We reached Lisbon in the late afternoon, with a relaxed drive into the city and a smooth drop-off at the hotel. The whole experience felt effortless, with a great balance of sightseeing, comfort, and travel. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make the most of their journey between Porto and Lisbon. It’s a great way to discover a few special places along the way, without the hassle of figuring it out on your own.

Aveiro, Nazaré & Fátima – Not Your Average Day Trip - Alright, so I booked this tour not really knowing what to expect — figured it’d be a bunch of old churches and some photo ops. Turns out, it was actually awesome. Aveiro? Kinda like Venice’s chill cousin. Cute boats, cool vibes, and they fed us these sweet little egg things. Weirdly good. Nazaré? Absolutely wild. I’ve seen some waves in Montauk, but these? Monster waves. Even in the off-season, the place has serious energy. Fátima was calm and powerful in its own way. Not exactly my usual scene, but something about it just hits you. You don’t have to be religious to feel it. The guide kept things moving, gave us space, didn’t overtalk — 10/10. Would recommend if you want a break from the city noise and a little taste of Portugal that’s actually worth your time.
