Amazing company - Absolutely wonderful experience. We have used 5 different companies to take us out to the reef for snorkelling over the past few years and this was definitely the best one we’ve enjoyed. A fantastic team of passionate divers and marine biologists, lovely boat (not too big, not too small) and a gorgeous water adventure. Special thanks to Cam for finding my GoPro when I lost it in the water (😂😂) and Sophie for her fabulous vibes. Everyone in our party of 7 agreed that this is definitely the dive company to travel with.

This was a wonderful... - This was a wonderful experience that provided exactly what we were looking for! Our tour guides were very knowledgeable (most were marine biologists), helpful, professional, and fun! There was plenty of time for snorkeling at an area of the reef that we had all to ourselves. The ride out to and back in from the reef was also very enjoyable. I highly recommended this locally owned and operated tour! I would definitely book with Pure Snorkelling again!

You won't be disappointed! - Wonderful choice for going out to the Reef! The half day option was the perfect amount of time to snorkel. Check-in was pretty straightforward. Since this is a smaller vessel, there's a smaller group which made the experience feel more exclusive than a larger tour boat. And super organized! The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. The waves were very choppy due to the weather this day, so getting down into the water was pretty intimidating as a nervous swimmer but staff did not pressure or rush me. I felt very comfortable at all times knowing that the guides were looking out for me, ensuring I was okay especially when my mask kept filling with water. Thanks Seb! By the way, I used a prescription mask which I appreciate them for having this option and various lens powers. The boat including the bathroom was clean. The additional resources such as motion pills, phone pouch/camera were a bit pricey but they are only options and the upcharge is to be expected. I would definitely choose Pure Snorkelling again when I return to Cairns. I highly recommend this company if you're comparing other tours as you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful accomplishment for a non swimmer. - I’m not a strong swimmer so I didn’t think I would snorkel. But Justin was so very encouraging that he would help me. So I did take a stinger suit for the just in case I might have. Well with his encouragement I did snorkel. Justin was so very kind and patient with me and. I felt very honored that he took the time to help me dragging me around on a life ring. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for wonderful snorkeling.

An amazing experience with an excellent group! Highly recommend Pure Snorkelling - We have just returned from a half day snorkel tour to the Great Barrier Reef. What a fantastic experience! From the moment we booked (from the UK), we were reassured by this well organised and well run company. Arriving in Cairns we checked out the central departure location and were greeted by very friendly staff. On the morning of our snorkel trip we went for the 10:30 briefing (this time by Seb). We were delighted we did so as we learned a lot about the reef, the coral, the fish and so much. This should not be missed as it gave us a great insight to when we went out to the reef. Once signed in we were given our suits to prevent stings and snorkel gear. All sized perfectly. It was then onto the boat for a 1.5 hour trip out to the reef. The boat has seating below and also above deck which offered a cooling breeze. The playlist is awesome! At the reef the amazing team including Bailey, Monica, Cam and Seb helped everyone get their snorkels and fins on. There was a range of confidence levels of swimming and snorkelling on our trip all of whom were well supported. Gerald the Captain, ably guided us out to the reef. The team joined the group in the reef pointing out various fish and things to see whilst keeping a safe eye on us all. We visited Briggs Reef and the ‘fish bowl’. Wow, wow wow! Sharks, turtles, amazing coral and of course hundreds of varieties of fish could be seen during this two hour snorkel time. We were the only boat at this part of the reef which meant it wasn’t crowded and felt very exclusive. On the journey home we were served complimentary scones with cream and jam. Beer and soft drinks were available to purchase. We would 100% recommend Pure Snorkelling for an excellent experience. It is a locally run group and their ethos is BRILLIANT. The half day trip is perfect for those who want to enjoy the reef without needing a lot of experience.
