It would have been helpful if Daniel had a handout for all participants. The presentation was a bit heavy on the science side in the beginning and he lost my attention.

Awesome intro class! Tara really gives you an idea of what to expect when you’re thinking about getting into beekeeping. Thank you 2 Hive Crew!

I'm totally sold on the gospel of bees and I think two hives is amazing!! I want the business to continue to succeed so here are some suggestions that are specific to the experience and some ideas: + Repaint the learning room. Find someone to turn it into a hive and/or represent the various stages of a hive. you can point to those as learning tools + General look/feel of the room should be upgraded - better furniture up front (not necessarily expensive), a stand for the computers, non-ziploc for the combs, etc. + Sitting on those bar stools for 2 hours is pretty uncomfortable. maybe cushions or other chairs with backs and cushions + Send around a fleshed out presentation after the event to connect with your audience again + The initial email should prep people for what they'll learn in class, encouraging them to bring notebooks and pens, something to drink etc. + If you keep the chalkboard, rehang it so its straight and get a better chalk marker Other ideas: + Do a 10% discount for people who sign up for the next class/service right then and there + Host a food blogger/influencer class that's less scientific but that talks through the hive to table process. also have one for chefs + Connect with a local artist and see if you can get them to specialize in painting beehives + Create place settings for the class - include the brochure, social handles, a honey straw (?) or a featured recipe and temporary tattoos (like the ones Tara has)
