Join us for an enjoyable and leisurely hike through one of the area’s greenbelts.
The Texas Hill Country is expanding rapidly, and people are eager to discover amazing natural spots for future swims, hikes, and nature adventures. We explore areas along the Violet Crown Trail in Central Austin, as well as nearby regions of the Hill Country.
We will share the wisdom of the lands, including Eliza Springs and Barton Springs, as well as information about native plants and wildlife, such as salamanders, bobcats, and armadillos! Participants will learn the scientific names of these plants and creatures, along with the traditional “Texan” terms for them. It’s fun for the whole family, so come and take a hike!
P.S. A portion of our proceeds is donated to the Austin Parks Foundation to support future activities and concerts in the parks!
