Experience live music at three distinct venues, with entry fees and cover charges included. Each performance and venue is uniquely Austin, offering a variety of genres, sizes, styles, and neighborhoods.
- Minimum age is 21 years
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time
- Please check in with the Austin Detours tour guide by 7:45 pm outside the Driskill Hotel (604 Brazos St, Austin, TX 78701)
- Due to vendor regulations, pets and emotional support animals are generally NOT permitted. Guests with a service dog MUST contact the local tour operator in advance to request approval.

Great way to sample variety Austin offers - So glad we signed up for this tour. While in town for a conference, hubs and I wanted to experience the music scene but were unsure where to go. This tour gave us a good variety, while also explaining other venues we might consider with our limited time. Jaqs (our guide) and Kelty (the driver) did a great job keeping us all engaged and explaining not only the venue, but history and facts of the neighborhoods we visited. Our first stop was The Continental, where we listened to Rock (I'd consider it Alternative rock), which took me back to my 20's. Then we traveled across town to The Sahara for Afrobeats. I never would have looked for a venue like this, but it was our favorite spot! Finally, we ended at C-Boys for some Americana/Country. Although my husband and my music taste differs (I enjoyed all three venues) it was still a fun time at each spot. I would do this again if we're here and recommend this especially if you have limited time in town.

The best way to see a bunch of music venues all in one night! - First - have to say that Joey Z was the best tour guide we have had in many cities we have visited. He was so light-hearted - got to know us a bit and our group to make the night the best experience. We visited 3 venues - all different. First was a honky tonk venue - we danced, order tacos from a food cart and next was a great small venue downtown with a great singer and dancing and wrapped up the night at a 3rd venue. Luke was a great professional driver also. Perfect 10 stars if I could. A must when visiting Austin.

Super fun night out - We had a blast on our pub crawl with David in Austin . He was a fun, friendly and knowledgeable guide and the clubs each priovided a different experience. We went to a honky tonk where we saw some great singing, dancing and fiddle playing, an upstairs blues club where we saw a fantastic guitarist with a soulful bluesy style and a funky R&B club with a great singer and band. Our group had a fun time together and our driver Luke was awesome and personable. We loved our pub crawl and would definitely recommend it.

Knowledgeable and Nice. Night out optimized - I’m glad we did the Austin Live Music Crawl. Getting the inside scoop on good places to go is worth the price of admission, especially if you want to get the most out of your visit by skipping potential duds. Easy way to get out of your comfort zone a little too.

Unexpectedly fun & interesting!! - Our group had never been on a music crawl and didn’t know what to expect. We all had a great time and agreed it was an interesting way to get introduced to Austin music history and experience where the locals go to listen to different genres.
Early on in the evening a man, mounted on his horse, literally entered the club to listen to a live performance—weird and unforgettable! It was a good variety of music and length of the tour was great too.
Jax is VERY knowledgeable and an exceptional Guide and David was very attentive and an awesome driver!

Want the Real Austin Experience? Do Not Miss Jax’s tour! - Amazing live Austin music crawl! Jax is incredibly knowledgeable about the local music scene and made our group feel welcome immediately. Our crawl included an awesome, uplifting mix of 70s country rock/psychedelic, a lively two-stepping honky-tonk, and a unique indie band.

Really cool tour of the... - Really cool tour of the iconic ACL facility. It was interesting and fun to learn about and see behind the scenes of the history of ACL. I would definitely recommend if you are visiting the Austin area.
