This was our first kayaking experience as a family, and it was very smooth and easy, except for the parking experience. It was the right amount of time, and we were glad to have plenty of time to paddle out and come back before the bats began their voyage. Our guide, Sebastian, gave us good pointers for avoiding larger boats and pointed out the best spot to park and watch the bats leave the bridge. We are eager to return for hourly kayaking sometime soon.

The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Half of our group had never been kayaking including myself. My grown kids and I had a blast. We will definitely do this again!!

My family and I signed up for the Friday evening bat tour. I had called earlier in the day to ask if we needed to bring anything extra and if we should be a little early. I was told to bring water, which was helpful, and also to arrive 10 - 15 minutes before our tour time of 6:30 pm. We did arrive early but our guide did not arrive until about 6:35/6:40. When he did arrive, he told us that we would get on the water about 7:00 in case more people showed up for the tour (?). Besides that and not introducing himself, we actually had a very nice time. Our guide was enthusiastic and genuinely seemed passionate about the bats and the city of Austin. He was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this tour to others but feel like the timeliness is in need of improvement.
