Ascending to the Clouds

The journey from Flam to the Stegastein Viewpoint is a pilgrimage of sorts, a winding ascent that mirrors the spiritual journey of many cultures. Upon arrival, the structure itself seemed to defy gravity, jutting out 30 meters from the mountainside, suspended 650 meters above the fjord. In Aurland, I took the time to explore the village, to walk along the fjord’s edge and feel the cool breeze on my face.
