• Hobbiton Movie Set - Upon arrival at the first major attraction, ‘Hobbiton,’ board one of the large green Hobbiton buses for a two and a half hour fully guided tour of this incredible 12-acre movie set. A professional Hobbiton guide will ensure you make the most of your visit. During the tour, explore the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, admire the beautiful gardens, learn the secrets and stories behind the movies, and enjoy a complimentary cold beverage at the renowned Hobbiton pub, ‘The Green Dragon Inn.’

* Maintenance & restoration construction at Hobbiton is scheduled to begin on 01 June 2025, with major works expected to be completed by September 2025. During this time, construction and maintenance equipment and noise will be present. Tours will continue as usual but will follow an alternate route around the construction area, offering a glimpse into the efforts to maintain the magical appearance of the Hobbiton Movie Set as seen in the films.

• Karapiro - After leaving Hobbiton and heading towards Waitomo, stop at the picturesque Lake Karapiro. This location is home to one of New Zealand’s first hydro dams and is a training ground for some of the country’s top rowers. With stunning views across the lake and countryside, it’s an ideal spot for a quick break and some photos.
• Otorohanga - Recharge with a delicious lunch, included as part of your tour. Choose from a fresh selection of savory bites to keep you energized for the afternoon. Relax and savor the local flavors before continuing your adventure.
