• Dryandra Woodland - The Dryandra Woodlands is a rich biodiversity area featuring over 850 plant species, more than 100 bird species, and 24 mammals, including the endangered numbat and bilby. This woodland serves as a sanctuary for unique Australian wildlife such as echidnas, brush-tailed wallabies, woylies, quendas, and chuditch.

Upon arrival, visitors can enjoy a brief bush walk, spotting native animals and seasonal wildflowers before settling down for a picnic dinner in the forest. The guide will prepare a barbeque meal, complemented by fresh salads, cheese and biscuits, wine, and hot beverages.

After dinner, take a picturesque drive through the forest as sunlight filters through the tree branches, casting long shadows and creating a magical flickering light on the forest floor. Watch for the numerous kangaroos in the area as they gracefully move through the trees.

• Barna Mia Nocturnal Wildlife Experience - Barna Mia is a distinctive wildlife sanctuary for some of our endangered mammals. Guides will offer a brief talk and video about the conservation efforts at Barna Mia. Then, embark on a guided night walk where participants sit and wait for Barna Mia’s nocturnal creatures to appear. Soon, the animals will entertain as they emerge from the darkness in search of food.
• Dryandra - To conclude the tour, there is a stop just outside the woodlands for stargazing. The guide will highlight some visible celestial objects, and there will be time to capture photos of the night sky. The Dryandra region boasts some of the darkest skies in Australia, ideal for viewing the Milky Way and shooting stars.

Discover some of Perth’s most adorable native animals in their natural surroundings. Escape the crowds and join us at the Dryandra Woodlands, a crucial conservation area brimming with wildlife. Encounter the Dancing Hare (Mala), the agile Woylie, the large-eared Bilby, the plump-tailed Boodie, the Brush Tailed Possum, and the elusive Echidna. Large groups of Kangaroos also inhabit this area.

Enjoy ample time to explore this biodiversity hotspot before indulging in a delightful picnic dinner in the forest, featuring barbecue-cooked meals and local wines. After completing the night tour of the wildlife sanctuary, there will be a brief stop at a farmer’s field in the Dryandra Outback for some stargazing.
