Fantastic experience and good value for money - We had a great experience here and I thought the entry price was very fair for the quality on offer The whole site is beautifully designed to complement the natural beauty of the area The staggered entry slots meant we didn’t feel too crowded, and on some occasions we had pool areas to ourselves The whole experience was extremely relaxing and this was a particular highlight of our trip to Melbourne Highly recommend

Alba = AMAZING - Alba = Amazing! 6 friends and I had a beautiful day at Alba on the 13th of January 2026. When we arrived we were greeted by Milla who was helpful, friendly and explained everything we needed to know for our time at Alba. The change rooms were clean and our towels and robes were soft and fluffy. Lunch at Thyme was delicious and the wait staff were knowledgable and friendly. The pools were calming and very relaxing and weren’t over crowded. The ground/gardens are neatly kept and it really was the most relaxing and peaceful day. I can’t wait to go again.

Amazing experience - From the moment we arrived at Alba, we were made to feel so welcome by the amazing staff. Everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make our visit special. The facilities were spotless and beautifully maintained, making it easy to completely relax and unwind. The views from the spas are breathtaking, adding to our wonderful, peaceful experience. We also dined at the spa’s restaurant, and the food was absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Alba was a perfect blend of elegance, relaxation, and genuine hospitality. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and already can’t wait to return. I cannot recommend Alba highly enough.

Amazing !! - Upon entering this establishment the first thing I noticed was the smell, it was so beautiful and incredibly calming, it felt like the relaxation had already began. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Such a variety of spas to choose from.. loved the choices of temperature, size and views from each one. Highly recommend

Luxury relaxation at Alba - Alba was a surreal experience. From the moment we arrived the staff (Milla) were well spoken and attentive. The bathing options and serenity was unsurpassed. Lunch at Thyme was delicious, staff recommendations, menu choices and service from restaurant staff made our visit to Alba one to remember and to hopefully to return soon.

Feels like your own private spa - Visited Alba for the first time expecting something special but were blown away with the attention to detail. Guests are made to feel like this is their own private sanctuary - pools are not over crowded, the space serene and phones are unwelcome. We started with some bathing in one of the many geothermal pools available before heading to the spa for a relaxing and luxurious massage. The spa centre was perfect, we were welcomed with water and herbal tea before the treatment, offered more water and tea post treatment and a complimentary glass of bubbles to top off a wonderful experience. Guests are invited to stay for as long as they wish, reclining in large daybeds overlooking native gardens. Thyme resturant offers a varied menu to sate your appetite and the wine list includes many local vineyards giving you a great taste of both the local produce and wines on offer, before you head back to the pools. We were there mid-week, so likely a quieter time at the springs which was perfect for us.

Lovely, relaxing, but busy!! - Lovely site, but it was too busy. For a Monday morning we expected it to be quiet. To our surprise the site was so busy! There were times we couldn’t even fit into the pools so had to wait. It is relaxing, and the cafe is lovely for a coffee (just $5.50), but at the end of the day it is just a series of hot tubs. More interactive things would be nice for the price. We liked that the towels, robes and locker were included. Going from the cold pool to hot springs was good fun. Cold pools could be colder! Price should be lowered really. But lovely relaxing morning. We spent 4 hours here including a coffee break in the sun.

Disappointing, waste of money - Not a great experience Alba markets luxury and the prices reflect that, but the experience is haphazard and the customer service varies from pleasant to dismissive to abrasive and contemptuous We booked an all day experience with multiple elements. It was expensive, a treat. It advertised all day bathing. Alba said we couldn’t enter the facility until 2pm. We arrived, concerned with a 2pm entry we wouldn’t have time for the experience. Reception said don’t worry, you can get your included lunch to take away or eat later, just let the restaurant know. Ok sure. We head to the restaurant and mention this. The man on front of house was incredibly rude. He said “we don’t do takeaway”. I cheerfully said “oh, reception just told us you did”. He said “and” a stared at me like I was dirt on his shoe. Our second visit to the restaurant and the same man was rude and made us feel small last time too. Strange Alba would keep someone on that is so rude to customers. Ok no lunch. We get in a pool but only have 20 minutes for our “all day bathing” by then. We go back to reception for our next activity, a salt pool. Reception asks if we have our slippers and disposable underwear. We say no. They say, didn’t you get given any. No. They ask if we have our schedule for the day. No. Apparently it should have been emailed to us. No. Ok. At the salt pool they tell us to go to the spa lounge next and they’ll serve us tea. Off we go. No tea. Never mind. Absolutely lovely foot massage, highlight of the day. On our way out, we are asked if we enjoyed our champagne. What? Apparently we should have been given a glass after we finished in the spa. No. Weren’t you offered that? No? Overall some nice elements but we felt we didn’t get several elements that should have been part of the package and that makes the $500 paid feel like a waste. In addition, the restaurant was horrible toys. And we didn’t get any time for using the facilities. No time for sauna, steam room. Packages seem so appealing online but if they only honour half the inclusions, not so much

Extremely expensive and very disappointing - I recently visited Alba Mineral Hot Springs on the Peninsula, hoping for a special experience to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. The ambience of the venue was acceptable, and the staff were generally fine, but the views were non‑existent. We had booked the Wine and Cheese on the Terrace package, which included one glass of wine, a small cheese platter (with burnt lavosh biscuits), 45 minutes of private bathing on the terrace, plus access to the general public bathing area, towels, and robes. At $230 per person, it was already on the expensive side, but I thought it would be worth it for a memorable occasion. Sadly, the experience fell far short of expectations. We used the public area in the morning and were told to return to reception at 12:45 pm, which we did. We waited until 1:00 pm—our actual appointment time—before approaching the desk ourselves. Staff then took us upstairs, and that’s where things really went downhill. We were shown to an area with no view at all, unless you count a fire hydrant. There was no umbrella, only two chairs for three people, and the pool itself looked very sad and uninviting. It felt like a forgotten corner rather than a premium experience. This was especially frustrating because we could see two other terrace pools nearby that looked far nicer. We spoke with an attendant, who passed our concerns on to management. The manager did come to see us and offered a refund, but only $480—after deducting the cost of the public bathing. While the gesture was appreciated, the whole situation left us feeling like an afterthought. Unfortunately, this will be my first and last visit to Alba Hot Springs. It was expensive, underwhelming, and extremely overrated.
