Great exhibit - I really enjoyed this exhibition. The reproductions are Egyptian made and ethically sourced. The experience is fascinating and comfortable.

Highly recommend. - Very well presented. Amazing to see all the detail of the tombs and the information of each one. Makes me want to visit the real deal in Egypt.

Not to be missed - Fantastic quality presentation. Educational information with each tomb presented as could be seen today. The accompanying replica artefacts of excellent quality.

Fascinating! - Three hours passed in a flash. Had not expected to spend this long at the exhibition but the sheer quantity of exhibits, the detailed descriptions and the superb curation all made for a fascinating experience. 10/10

Perfect to bundle with the aquarium - The staff the super friendly, the displays were designed and signed in a very easy to read way. Good bundle price with the aquarium package, definitely worth a stop!

A Journey into Ancient Egypt, in the Centre of Cairns - When I visited the Tomb of the Pharaohs, I didn’t not quite know what to expect, considering it’s a short stroll from the pubs and restaurants in the middle of Cairns, and a long way from Egypt. Firstly, I was fascinated by how brilliantly it has all been put together. When I entered, I was greeted by Archaeologist Sandra. She absolutely beamed passion, not only for her role at the exhibit, but Ancient Egypt in general. Her enthusiasm absolutely increased my excitement about what I would find inside. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. After a few minutes chatting, it was clear that this is far more than just an exhibition to her, it’s a lifelong passion. Even just being welcomed by her immediately set the tone for the entire visit. Unfortunately for me, there were no tours running when I visited. But honestly, after seeing what’s inside, I would highly consider coming back again. The design of the exhibition has the slightly eerie feeling of ancient tombs which really added to the experience. I’m not sure if it was the aircon or the immersion, but I got a shiver upon seeing the sarcophagus! The lighting, layout and atmosphere pull you into the story in a way I didn’t expect. I enjoyed the recreated artifacts, as this allowed me to get up close and personal to see the incredible detail, craftsmanship and authenticity. I liked how this differed to museums where everything is behind glass or out of reach. Personally, I think this style of exhibit makes the history feel real and immersive. This is such a unique experience and something completely different from anything else in Cairns. Whether you’re interested in Ancient Egypt or just love immersive experiences, this is an absolute must see. My next visit will definitely be for a guided tour as I just know that I will learn something extra, especially if someone like Sandra is leading it!

My firsr visit - Very nicely presented! A lots of information and knowledge of egypt! The visual display can make us have stronger memory and understand more about pyraid and mummy!

Great way to spend afew hours. Enjoyable - Really enjoyable experiance. Loved that there was descriptions on items on display. Items on display are replicates not real items however alot of care has been taken to replicate. The exhibit has been put together very well time you are walking through each individual tomb. Staff are also very friendly and helpful and were sure to explain experience to us prior and asked hiw it was at the end when exiting. Not a timed exhibit so can take at your own pace.. also accessible
