Magical experience - We were picked up from our hotel in a 10 seater mini bus. We visited many amazing beautiful locations on route and then got to Hallstatt. It is a magical place with many places to eat and drink. Most places are cash only so you need to take cash. It was worth every penny and would highly recommend.

Hallstatt tour - Roman was great and super informative. I would rebook in a heartbeat. It was a great way to see Hallstatt. They are very accommodating especially to a big group with an older crowd. I would recommend to everyone.

Roman was the best! - Amazing experience! Roman was our tour guide and he was over the top fantastic. So knowledgeable and very personable. My boyfriend and I were very happy and would happily take another tour with Roman.

Best way to travel to Hallstatt. Big busses have restrictions in Hallstatt. Driver was great and on time to the minute. - The driver was great. Hallstatt is very crowded now due to PR and movies. But it's still a most beautiful place to go. We planned to eat in one of the restaurants but wait time was over 1-1/2 hours. 8000 visitors today in late September.

Highly recommend this... - Highly recommend this tour if you're short on time and want to make it to the lake region/Halstatt. Our tour guide, Balazs, was attentive and knowledgeable. The small stops along the way are a nice break on the drive.

It was like stepping into... - It was like stepping into a fairytale.
You cannot come to Austria and not experience Hallstatt.
Roman and Christiana were fantastic guides and shared so much knowledge.
I would highly recommend this small group trip!

Wonderful day trip - Loved this tour from Vienna to Halstatt on a beautiful, sunny day. Our transportation was arranged on time and we had plenty of time to explore the city and take plenty of pictures at the lake. You get to know other travelers, so it is a great choice if you travel alone and like to get to know people!

We had a great experience... - We had a great experience at Hallstatt. Our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive, and once in Hallstatt, our guide there took us on an informative tour through some of the less-travelled but equally impressive parts of the village. There were large groups of tourists near the water and at the “Instagram points,” but aside from that, we found plenty of quiet places and cafes to enjoy.

Beautiful landscapes and villages; it is worth it!! - A beautiful tour of stunning lakes and landscapes. The guide Roman very friendly and very good driver; always attentive that we were comfortable.. The car very comfortable and safe. The village of Hallstatt is wonderful. Looks like something out of a story. Travel highly recommended. I recommend going with White Alligators Tours because they are very professional, punctual, and very good communication. Being a small group they cater to all needs and the trip is comfortable and enjoyable.

My 13 hours trip - I choose to travel with small group and paid much more money for the trip than other companies to enjoy more time and relaxing atmosphere. I was picked up the first at 6:45 AM and dropped off the last at 20:00 PM , the time spent at Hallstadt could have bin extended a bit rather than visiting these 2 little towns on the way back where we had only 20 to 15 min. At each of them . The guide at Hallstadt was average , nothing included in the price except the drive , bottle of water in the van and a little packet of chocolate which is nice . Hallstadt is a very beautiful town but the drive is long and unfortunately it was a public holiday in Austria so it was overcrowded with tourists and locals which made it very hard to find a place at a lake restaurant or cafe specially when you have limited time there . Conclusion , I would rather spend the whole trip at Hallstadt, I would recommend that people choose a day away from public holiday’s and weekends, and if you are picked up first would be nice to have your drop off first instead of waiting although in the Morning I waited for all the others , only if you are lucky you will have nice participants of the tour . I didn’t have this luck .
