Amazing Virtual Reality Experience! - We experienced the Virtual Reality (VR) doing "discover the wonders of Egypt. Explore the Giza Plateau and the Great Pyramid of Giza."It was amazing! Have done VR before but never as excellent as this! The trip to the top of the Pyramid made us believe we were flying up there! Have recommended it to many others.

Space After Dark - loud DJ thankfully didn't ruin experience - I checked out the Space After Dark experience for the 21+ crowd. I liked that it was going to be kid-free- but the room where they have the bar was just really loud and not at all my scene. Thankfully you couldn't hear too much of the night club effect in the exhibit room where you experience the immersive space part. I really enjoyed it! It was very soothing and visually gorgeous. Definitely worth checking out.

Will visit again - Enjoyed venue. Nice ambiance and music. Great customer service . After a very enjoyable evening, I had a boot on my car w/$75 fee and 1 hour wait. Be careful where you park. Anything to good to be true, generally is.

Illuminarium team need to hire someone strong on experience curation - Illuminarium team - please hire someone who has a long CV built around creating EXPERIENCES. It is irritating that you have got possession of such a prime location, and large space to exhibit awesome content...and it feels like you are squandering it. My SO and I are hugely interested in space, and I was excited to learn that the Illuminarium was featuring recent images from the Webb telescope. We were also interested in the "Space: After Dark" tickets, only because we wanted to enjoy it without children. As other reviews mention, the 'experience' starts in a first room with a DJ. Not sure why...we deliberately chose to go to a space and wonder event, not a nightclub. Also annoying, the DJ was playing Christmas songs. Go play it at the Winter Wonderland part of the Illuminarium, please. The last thing I want while marveling at the unknowable grandeur of the cosmos is the racket of Jingle Bells etc (the Mona Museum in Hobart, Australia memorably had the song "Stars" by Damian Cowell playing against one of their space-themed exhibits, and that was perfect). This first room just gives a vibe like they're trying to get you to spend money on cocktails - we already spent $100 to be here, and we're not big drinkers. They let you into the second room after 30 mins and here is where you can fully appreciate the imagery of the lunar missions, and the James Webb. Some of the footage and the music choices make for moving moments. I did feel emotional gazing at the photographs splashed across such an enormous canvas. It runs for about 30 mins then replays from the start. All the staff were very nice people, doing their best. TL;DR - it's too expensive for not much. Weird choices made by whoever is curating this, and not much insight into what it is to create an experience. A missed opportunity.

Disappointing - Overpriced for sitting in a room with a hip hop / rap DJ, very loud, watching space scenes on the walls. Very disappointed.

Overpriced - Clarity of the viewing/ picture was poor. The stomping feeling in our chairs did not match with the stomping of the elephants. Noticed no scents as advertised. Poor advertising of what actual is. It’s a large living room with large screen TVs with poor picture quality.

Don’t go - Pointless video of what seemed to be many types of Christmas gift wrap. Less disappointing than the Van Gogh experience but disappointing, nevertheless. The food was surprisingly good.

Waste of money & time scam with horrible employees who blatantly told us to leave bad reviews & contact corporate. - This was the absolute worst experience myself and my friends have ever had and we had 2 kids with us to boot. We paid for the VIP experience for 6 people at $50 a person (then the free 2 year old). We drove 2.5 hours each way for this scam... 5 hours in a car. We stood in line to get 1 cup of cocoa before they pushed us to the next room telling us there wasn't time for the unlimited cocoa promised in the VIP experience and just to go to the next couple rooms and hear the story, and watch the experiences. Well... that's where it ended. There was no story. There was just that room. They told us everything was broken. We sat there for about 5 minutes. Stood in line to get something to drink for 30 minutes. Tried to take the elf photos we were promised with the VIP experience, but then told it was broken. Santa wouldn't stay sitting long enough for kids to see him. Told the story was broken. Told the rest of the experience was broken. Told to vacate the building. When we asked the announcer guy what was going on, explained we had gotten nothing our VIP tickets promised he told us to leave a rating and email corporate because it wasn't his problem. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME! The whole thing is a broken scam!
